A woman shared a naked photo of a friend in a 'Tit for Tat' online spit after having accused the victim of trolling her on social media.
Jessica Bailey, 22, placed the intimate image of the woman on other friends after she claimed that she was spoken in 'negative terms' on Snapchat.
When she was confronted, she responded with a video with the text: “Because I can do it.”
The photo was secretly taken by Bailey without the knowledge of the woman when they undress in her bathroom.
The victim suffered psychological damage after learning the photo was seen by two other friends.
At Chester Magistrates Court, Bailey, from Northwich, was guilty of two accusations of sharing a photo or film of a person in an intimate state that is planning to cause alarm stress or humiliation.
She was instructed to complete a community order of 18 months and to wear a 'austerity tag' for 120 days as part of a controlled requirement of alcohol abstinence.
Miss Selda Krasniqi, continued, said: “This stems from Snapchat Texts or conversation. Around 10 am on July 29, 2024, a witness received a phone call from a friend to say that they received a nude photo of one of their friends.

'That witness then reports Jessica Bailey on Snapchat to ask why she sent the photo. She responded with a video with the text “Because I can do it.”
The witness said she can be 'ready' for sending the photo and the suspect replies “I didn't even send that.”
“The witness then called the victim and said she had to talk to her friend who received the photo. The photo seemed to be seen by more than one person.
'When speaking with the friend, the victim confirmed that the image was taken when she was changed to Bailey's bathroom.
“She didn't know that the photo had been taken and did not agree to be taken or shared. The suspect was interviewed but gave a 'no comment' to all questions. '
There were indications that she would share the image with another party. It caused some suffering and some psychological damage to the victim. '
In mitigation, Bailey's lawyer Sarah Hamblett said: 'There was no element of planning – this was just an emotional response to an argument, an argument between friends.
“The defendant was not planning to cause special suffering. In fact, she did not really give the level of need she would cause, but there was no intention in terms of malice on her part.

“She tried not to make the images public. It was seen by two people. They are never posted on a social media platform or something of this nature.
'The complainant and the suspect were very good friends – however, this friendship had been demolished. The suspect then had an impulsive and emotional reaction that is activated by being under the influence of alcohol because she was upset because of the demolition of friendship with the complainant.
“She was of the opinion that the complainant said negative things about her online on Snapchat and social media. It was actually tit for Tat. She has shown repentance and she has received a better understanding of what she did. '
Miss Hamblett said that when she was four years old, Bailey was killing meningitis and septicemia and was in a coma for a few days. Her brain was robbed of oxygen, the lawyer said, leaving her complete deafness in her right ear and brain damage.
“As a result of brain damage, she suffers from fear that limits her ability to be in larger social groups,” said Miss Hamblett.
'She used alcohol in terms of coping and more comfortable in social environments or larger groups.
“She acknowledges that she doesn't know when to stop. However, she does not consider her alcohol consumption as a problem.
'She is struggling with communication and thinking problems. She did not try to contact the complainant, although she has received messages from the complainant on Tiktok. She never responded to one of these. '
“She has already tackled her. She now only drinks once every two weeks and then only on one day of the weekend. The suspect would be vulnerable in a guard. It would increase her levels of fear and she would have difficulty cosing the head.
When condemning Bailey JP Frances Miller told her: 'Make sure you do everything that requires the probation service of you, otherwise they might be able to bring you back here. Just do everything they ask of you. '
She was also instructed to complete 35 days of a rehabilitation activity and to pay £ 199 in costs and a victim allowance. She had confronted a prison sentence of a maximum of 26 weeks under conviction guidelines.
