A Chinese military exercise took a turn last week when a fighter jet dived into the ground and exploded in a huge fireball.
A shocking clip filmed by horrible spectators laid on Saturday when the Shenyang J-15 hunter ran into the ground in the civilian viewing area in the province of Southern Island of Hainan in China, near Hong Kong, on Saturday.
The plane fell out of sight behind a long tree line and exploded seconds later. The explosion was heard on the camera, breathed breath and shouts from the crowd, while a ball of orange flame and black smoke rose from behind the trees.
In the meantime, the pilot was seen in sight, dangling from his parachute. Their proximity to the crash site and the land suggested that they must have thrown moments before the impact.
The Chinese People Liberation Army Navy (Plan) Southern Theater Command said that the plane crashed in an open area and that no one else was hit, which later confirmed that the pilot survived his droppings.
A tight explanation was: 'The pilot successfully ejected and no additional damage on the ground was caused,' adding that an investigation had been opened.
The PLA is very mysterious and rarely reports on accidents, despite having the world's largest navy and standing army.
Hainan is the southernmost province in China and is the home of countless Air Force and Navy Bases, Radar Stations and other military infrastructure.
It is seen as an important location that supports the expansion of the military presence of China in the vast South Chinese Sea.

The Shenyang J-15 series hunter, known as the 'Flying Shark', is a Chinese developed and manufactured multirole fighter jet based on prototype designs by the Russian Sukhoi SU-33.
The predecessor of the J-15, the J-11, is also based on the Sukhoi SU-27 'Flanker' Jet, a very unconfirmed hunter that was designed by the Soviet Union to combat the United States F-15 Eagle, who came into service in the 1970s.
The design of the flanker was so successful that it produced different variants, including the two-seat SU-30, the SU-33 naval variant, the SU-34 Fighter Bomber and the SU-35, which is effectively a very modernized and improved flanker.
The Russian Air Force has exported Flanker Series aircraft to the Air Force worldwide, including China.
But the Chinese liberation army of the Chinese people tried to acquire the blueprints of the aircraft to build a domestic fleet of fighter jets, so that import costs are avoided and limit their dependence on foreign powers that generally supply export variant with degraded capacities.
Now China has one of the world's most frightening soldiers behind the United States and is no longer dependent on Russian designs.
Instead, it pawns the development of his own fifth generation fighter aircraft, including the Chengdu J-20 'Mighty Dragon' and the J-35 for rival, such as the US F-22 and F-35 Jets and the Russian Sukhoi SU-57, although the J-35 has the F-35.
China did not fight in a real war in 35 years, but started a dramatic military expansion and modernization campaign under President Xi Jinping.
The J-15 crash comes months after China has revealed what analysts consider to be a new stealth aircraft.
It was seen to carry out a test flight with his landing gear open in December while he was accompanied by a Chengdu J-20.

The new Jet was spotted next to a Chengdu J-20, the current generation of hunters-verbal with the F-22 of the US Air Force

The new plane appeared in posts on social media that unveil a large, three-engine war plane with a cockpit and diamond style wing without vertical tails that can help the plane to prevent them from being detected in radars.
According to Justin Bronk, Senior Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), while the design of the aircraft is 'fascinating', it is probably part of the current regional bomber/strike Jager development of China, instead of their sixth generation of fighter program.
He said that the aircraft may not match the performance expectations set by the US NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance) – An Air Force in the United States Sixth Generation Air Superiority Initiative – But it could be an important leap in the tactical air power possibilities of China.
According to Aviation Weekly, the engines of the aircraft are fed by a single dorsal inlet and two ventral inlet.
The dorsal inlet has a stealth-enforcing divertless supersonic inlet.
The multiple intakes seem to have been positioned for optimum stealth and fast performance, the UK Defense Journal has suggested.
The large ventral hull section of the aircraft probably offers space for an internal weapon bay and the most important landing gear each has two wheels, a characteristic of heavy hunter bombers, such as the Sukhoi SU-34.
Images of the potential Super Fighter have also indicated that there are possible rockets and bomb drawers under the hull loading, which further improves the radar stealth.
Motor sprayers that are above the hull also reduces heat radiation and sound.
