Stylist shows 52-year-old her ‘upgrade’ makeover with a bit of ‘power dressing’
A FASHION professional has wowed social media users by sharing a 52-year-old client’s wardrobe makeover.
Finding your WHERE Style is a challenge for many people. Dominika, 52, was no exception… until a stylist gave her aesthetic a whole new look.

According to fashion expert Kenzie (@stylingmetkenzie), the client struggled with the question of ”how to dress fashionably for her age”.
Some of her favorite outfits, Kenzie recently revealed in a videoconsisting of baggy shorts paired with a white vest and a T-shirt-like shirt, as well as a flowy sleeveless top with black office pants that she would wear with black ballerinas.
Another staple in her wardrobe was a simple black midi dress with thick straps and a high V-neckline, which she wore with matching ballerina flats.
”Over the years, she became increasingly confused about how to shop and lost her sense of style. She was afraid that she would look ‘too young’ if she took risks.”
Before the glamorous makeover, Dominika told Kenzie ”she wanted to dress chic and comfortable, with a little bit of edge”.
But with a little help, the 52-year-old curly-haired beauty was transformed into a stylish fashionista who looked effortlessly well-groomed and fresh off the red carpet.
The baggy clothes were replaced by trendy high street pieces, including a gorgeous animal print maxi skirt, paired with a chic cream cardigan and Birkenstock-style sandals.
Kenzie also introduced Dominika to accessories, including a brown bag and baby pink-framed glasses, which further enhanced the fit.
Another outfit that left social media users in awe was a stunning burgundy two-piece suit, featuring a sexy off-the-shoulder top and stylish wide-leg trousers.
To complete the look, the American fashion genius completed her outfit with silver jewelry and a stylish black bag.
There were also a number of more comfortable looks that were ideal for running errands, such as jeans with a striped shirt tucked in and a belt to accentuate the waist.
Wearing the popular Adidas Gazelle trainers and a cute red bag over her shoulders, Dominika looked ready to take on the day – in true, effortless style.
“I wanted to show her that comfortable outfits can still look stylish and trendy. She loves wearing sneakers,” Kenzie said.
”I taught her how to make her outfits more interesting by adding more texture to them.
”I also showed her how to look at clothes in more interesting ways, like wearing a jacket as a shirt.”
How to Look Chic on a Budget
Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger and beauty journalist Samantha Silver showed how to make your outfits more stylish without spending hundreds of euros.
- Never spend money on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection of fashionable jeans that follow the current trends”. The retailer offers a wide range of sizes from UK 6 – UK 18 and three leg lengths – with prices starting at an affordable £25.
- There are no rules for jewelry: ”Get something at a flea market or thrift store, score on Vinted and eBay, buy something from the clothing section of your local supermarket when you go shopping or have a look in clothing stores on the high street.”
- Don’t forget the second-hand sites: With the rise of second-hand sites like Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse not to buy – or sell – second-hand clothes. Gemma, for example, managed to get her hands on a pair of chic Chanel sunglasses for just £17.
Needless to say, the stunning transformation has catapulted the platform into high gear, with a whopping 2.8 million views in less than a day.
