Jonjo Shelvey was left behind the unemployed after a brutal cull at the end of the season through Burnley.
The first England International joined the Clarets in January after his contract with Galatasaray cracked.
But the 33-year-old only succeeded 11 minutes by football During his stint at Turf Moor.
And the Bruney Brass has chosen not to offer him a new deal.
A fragment of one Burnley Statement Read: “Jeremy Sarmiento will return to Brighton & Hove Albion After his time in Burnley, while Nathan Redmond And Jonjo Shelvey Both will leave the Clarets after the expiry of their contracts on 30 June. ”
The Clarets thanked the departing Shelvey and Redmond for their service.
The statement added: “Burnley Football Club thanks all departing players for their contributions and wish them the very best for them future career.”
