A lush country house in the eastern suburbs of Sydney has become the subject of a bitter legal battle for some missing trees.
Known as Villa Biscaya, the Pink Spanish home in Rose Bay can be seen on Married at First Sight, The Bachelor and the Voice.
The house was previously owned by David Waterhouse, the options trader and alienated member of the Waterhouse Horse-Racing family.
Waterhouse sold the property in 2023 for $ 26 million to the Aston Martin-Driving Investment Banker Michael Rothner, known for rubbing shoulders with people like Cate Blanchett and Tyra Banks.
But although Mr Rothner lives in the building, the settlement has not yet been closed and the two men have become engaged in a legal Stoush.
The procedure launched by Mr Waterhouse last year accuses the ex -wife of Mr Rothner, Lisa, of reducing trees on a neighboring property – a claim that both Mr and Mrs Rothner deny, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Mr Rothner provides and asks compensation and accuses Mr Waterhouse of refusing to sign up for developmental applications that he claims have delayed the renovations.
The next hearing is planned in the Supreme Court next week.

The Fracas with Mr Rothner is not the first time that Mr Waterhouse has been involved in a real estate war.
In 2019 he received an annoying feud with his neighbors in an apartment of $ 3.5 million on Darling Point, claiming that Fay Cohen's 'Yapping' Cavoodle, Fifi, Pece over the Harbourfront lawn and disrupted access to the swimming pool.
Mrs. Cohen applied for a arrested violence (AVO) against Mr Waterhouse, claiming that he had been abused and threatened her in the vicinity of their shared swimming pool.
The AVO was rejected by a magistrate in September 2019.
