The Minnesota Vikings have decided that they will not follow a deal for Aaron Rodgers.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero announced on Wednesday on Wednesday that the Vikings made the decision to commit to JJ McCarthy as their starter next season.
The franchise has reportedly rejected several trade calls for McCarthy, the former Michigan QB who has won a national championship with the Wolverines in recent weeks.
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell still wants to bring an experienced quarterback to the dressing room to support McCarthy, but it will not be rodgers.
It still leaves the 41-year-old looking for a new team after he has been released by the New York Jets.
Possible zoning spots are becoming less, especially with the NFL design that is still coming and it probably seems that he will join the Pittsburgh Steelers of New York Giants.

Reports had said that the Vikings were the preferred place of Rodgers.
Last season they went 14-3 before back-to-back defeats by the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams they sent them to the number 1 seed of the NFC and crash in the play-offs wildcard round.
The O'Connell team has an exceptionally attacking talent with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Aaron Jones and TJ Hockenson have all registered for next season.
However, it is a huge show of trust that McCarthy will start the new season.
The 22-year-old tore his right meniscus during his debut in the preseason last August, missing his first season in Minnesota.
Now that Sam Darnold continues to the Seattle Seahawks, and Daniel Jones trying to become the starter in Indianapolis, McCarthy has the inside of the Top Signal Caller of the Vikings.
