A FIT grandma has revealed that she may suffer from veiny thighs and loose skin, but it doesn’t stop her from posing in a bikini.
Jacqueline Hooton, 61, from West Sussex, can lift double her body weight and is encouraging other women to increase their strength too.
Even if you have osteoarthritis, the personal trainer still wants to prove that you can look fantastic at any age if you just put in the effort.
She often posts videos of herself exercising, and also shares photos of herself posing in swimwear.
The active ageing advocate believes building strength is the key to staying fit and healthy, and recently revealed that she doesn’t suffer from her stretch marks or cellulite.
The mother of five posted a message on Instagram of herself enjoying the sun on vacation, proudly showing off her body in a bikini.

Alongside the stunning snaps, the grey-haired grandmother said: “In my 61 years on this planet, my body has given me many setbacks. Setbacks that I have made peace with.
“Fibrous veins that weave around my right thigh like a garter. I’m 8 to 10 pounds heavier than I was 10 years ago, and some of that is muscle, but not all.
“Multiple miscarriages, stretch marks and loose skin from carrying five children, limitations in my shoulder joints after three surgeries, cellulite, osteoarthritis, a benign but not without problems tumor in my back muscles and I just had another surprise, which I will tell you more about soon.
“Nobody has a ‘perfect’ body, because perfect cannot be defined. Is perfect disease-free? Is perfect flawless? Is perfect a size or a look? Or is perfect simply making peace with what is?
“I am grateful for this body of mine. It tells the story of my life so far; sorrow, loss, pain, joy, nurturing, love and my lifestyle. I hope you too can make peace with the bittersweet story of your body, we are all perfectly imperfect.”
Additionally, in another video from her recent trip, Jacqueline explains that she’s realized she doesn’t need a “beach body.”
Instead, she needs a body that can take her “to the beach.”
She said she is proud of her strong height and that her lungs and cardiovascular system can keep up.
Jacqueline pointed out that “everyone has a beach body when they’re at the beach,” but stressed the importance of “getting there” first.
