The selfie seems to have been taken in a bathroom, with a shower as a background.
Kherberger is wearing the earphones and a shirt with long sleeves with a long sleeve at the top in the creepy photo.
The persecution is expected to show jury members the image because they claim that one of the surviving housemates remembers that he has seen a person with foresty eyebrows' in her house in the night of the murders, according to Brian Entin of Newsnation.
Madison Mag, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were all fatally found in their off-campus student house in Moscow, Idaho in November 2022.
Kherberger, a PhD student of criminology, was arrested six weeks later and accused of the murders. He denies involvement in crime.
Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen remembered that Amasked intruder left the student house, just after the brutal murders had taken place.

The determining feature that she remembers was the man's 'bushy eyebrows'.
Last month the defense of the accused mass murderer made a series of requests to ask the judge to block certain words and sentences from his trial – including 'bushy eyebrows'.
Mortensen, whose bedroom was on the second floor, came face-to-face with a masked man in the immediate aftermath of the murders, according to judicial documents.
She told the researchers that she was awakened by sounds in the house that morning around 4 o'clock in the morning and had heard a voice say: “There is someone here. '
She also heard what sounded like whining from the room of Kernodle and the voice of a man who said, “It's okay, I'm going to help you.”
Mortensen told the researchers that she had opened her door and peeked out three times.
The third time she said she saw a man with 'bushy eyebrows' and dressed in a black walk along her door and on the way to the sliding doors of the house.
Between 4.22 and 4.24 hours on the morning of November 13, 2022, Mortensen and the other surviving roommate Bethany Funke exchanged 17 hectic SMS messages that feared that someone was in their house.

Between 4.22 and 4.24 hours on the morning of November 13, 2022, survivors Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke exchanged 17 hectic SMS messages and feared that someone was in their home
'I'm not a joke [sic] I'm so crazy, “read one of the messages.
Funke replied more than three separate reports: 'Come to my room. Loop. Below here. '
Shortly after seeing the intruder, Mortensen went down to the room of Funke and the two roommates fell asleep there, according to the newly filled judicial documents.
The SMS messages offer an insight into the state of the state against Kherberger and the horrifying fear that ran by the survivors in the night that four of their friends were killed tragically.
“Kaylee. What is going on, “Mortensen wrote in an SMS message to Gonclaves. She didn't hear back.
She sent another text to Funke in which 'no one answers', followed a little later by another: “I am confused.”

Mortensen confessed that she was 'freaking' before she clarified that she had 'almost seen someone as a ski mask'.
Kherberger has offered a vague one so far Alibi for the night of the murders that claimed that he drove around at night and looked at the stars.
Not being able to confirm witnesses where he was, his lawyer Anne Taylor admitted in a court application.
