Fellow countryman and world number one Scottie Scheffler looks set to be the toughest test for Harman’s title defence. Scheffler heads into the event as the favourite after six major victories this season, including the Masters and the Players Championships.
This year’s tournament will be the first time since 2016 that the tournament has been held at Royal Troon in South Ayrshire. The course this year features the longest hole in Open history, a par-5 6th hole that measures a whopping 600 yards.

What is the US TV schedule for The Open?
USA Network and Peacock will also air live coverage of the action from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET for Rounds 1 and 2 on Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday and Sunday, USA Network and Peacock will have an early broadcast from 5:00-7:00 a.m. both days before switching over to NBC for the all-important Round 3 and 4 finale starting at 7:00 a.m.
NBC’s broadcasts are also available to stream on Peacock.

Livestream the British Open in the US
As mentioned above, linear TV coverage in the US is split between NBC and USA Network, with streaming service Peacock also offering similar coverage.

Livestream The Open in the UK
Golf fans in the UK can watch the tournament live on Sky Sports. The tournament will be broadcast on the Sky Sports Golf channel. Coverage begins at 6:30 BST on Thursday and Friday, while it starts at 9:00 BST on Saturday and 8:00 BST on Sunday.
Viewers in the UK can watch The Open on Sky Sports Golf, with comprehensive coverage of each day’s matches.
