The ‘Torrent of Abuse’ Council employees who were linked from a furious business owner when she interrupted the dinner service in her restaurant was closed by Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore.
Two officers for the city of Sydney Visited busy Potts Point Eatery Lady Chu on Friday evening to tell owner Nahji Chu to move her Potpalm trees immediately.
An explosive argument followed on video by an employee, in which Mrs. Chu said that she would rather ‘go to prison’ than to follow their orders.
Mrs. Moore went to social media on Wednesday to unleash Mrs. Chu for her treatment of staff.
“We have repeatedly asked Lady Chu to remove some of the non -good -approved planters or the umbrellas to ensure that there is enough space for pedestrians,” she said.
“It is not a private courtyard, it is a public footpath – people should not be forced on the road, especially people in a wheelchair or with a pram.”
Mrs. Moore said that the Council received a complaint on Friday and visited Lady CHU to advise what items were a ‘issue’ and ‘respectful’ asking to be removed as soon as possible.
“Unfortunately they then received a stream of abuse that was subsequently published on social media.”

The owner of Lady Chu, Nahji Chu, lashed out to council officers who showed up during a busy Friday dinner service and ordered her to move her palm trees

Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore went to social media on Wednesday to unleash Mrs. Chu for her treatment of staff.
During the Showdown, Mrs. Chu told an officer: ‘This is’ F *** ED Up, this entire city is f *** etc. Up. ‘
‘I am not a naughty school -child, so don’t speak that way.
‘I pay f *** ING taxes and I pay your wages, so f *** off. I try to activate this F *** ING DEAD City, so don’t close it. ‘
Mrs. Chu told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday: ‘They would not leave, that’s why I went crazy.
‘Let a bomb fall at 7 p.m. and expect me to stay calm?
‘There is no pleasure in this city, you can’t do anything or you are confronted with a fine.
“Nobody even leaves their house anymore – they just work to make money and give it abroad where they can get culture and have a good time.”
The argument was about the footpath area that was used as an outdoor option for Ms Chu’s customers from Wednesday to Sunday to 9:30 pm.

Mrs. Moore said that the council had approved a few outdoor extensions, but claimed that Mrs. CHU had also turned off extra furniture and large planters

Mrs. Moore said that the council had approved two requests from Mrs. CHU to expand the outdoor space since March.
This offered seats for around 70 customers, but also suitable space for pedestrians to walk on, said Mrs. Moore.
‘But we have received constant complaints about extra furniture, umbrellas and large planters that hinder the footpath.
‘Our planning staff has met Lady Chu several times. Roslyn St is narrow and it is not possible to maintain the accessibility standards of the Federal Discrimination Act, as well as all its dining tables, planters and umbrellas.
‘I recommend our officers because they have remained calm and professional.
‘We all want our city to buzz. That is why we offer this space and work together with companies to enjoy it. But we also have to keep enough space for others. ‘
In the video, Mrs. Chu turns to the walkway between her restaurant and tables with the question:
‘What is the problem here, you can get through it, what does the problem officer seem?
‘Nice trees? Nice umbrellas? Three people can get through it?
“Give me the F *** ING fine now and I will see you in court with my lawyer.”
