Fernandes, 30, has tackled his situation After the 1-0 defeat of United against Tottenham in the Europa League final in Bilbao -a result that confirmed the absence of the club of the European competition next season.
The Portuguese midfielder again confirmed his dedication to United, but admitted that the decision cannot ultimately be in his hands.
“I always said that I will be here until the club tells me it’s time to go,” Fernandes said. “I would like to do more to be able to take the club to great days.
“If the club thinks it’s time to separate because they want to do some money or whatever, it’s what it is, and football is sometimes so.”
The failure of United to qualify for Europe is expected to cost them around £ 100 million in income, which means that rumors are fueled that important players can be sold.
Fernandes, who was recently proclaimed the player of the year of the year for the fourth time, has long had existing admirers in Saudi Arabia. Reports suggest that Saudi champions Al-Hilal belong to the clubs that show genuine interest.
While Saudi sides lead gambling, Real Madrid (12/1) and Barcelona (16/1) are also seen as potential destinations for the playmaker.
Betfair Spokesperson, Sam Rosbottom said: “The captain of Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has said that he will leave the club this summer if they want to cash it in.
“That seems a necessity after their abject performance in the Europa League final, although exactly how much they will succeed in the 30-year-old midfielder, who led Manchester United to two domestic trophies in his five years there, must still be known.
“Big money -spenders of the Saudi Pro League seem to be most likely, with every Saudi Pro League club the favorites on 17/2 to sign the Portuguese midfielder.
“A movement elsewhere in Europe looks unlikely, with Real Madrid 12/1, Barcelona 16/1 and Champions League finalists PSG 66/1.”
