Sky Sports Legend Jeff Stelling has announced that he will no longer be honorary president of Hartlepool United.

Hart -Lepool -owner Raj Singh, brought the club for sale in April 2023 and resigned from his role as chairman two months ago.

“Let’s remember that it was he who wanted to stop financing the club. Yet he now almost seems insulted that others want to take over.

“I wasn’t consulted about this once, even though I am a shareholder.

“I didn’t meet the buyers, but I do know that they have been trying to buy this club for more than a year – not the actions of a waste of time.

“I will always love this club and wish all our fans the best.”

Hartlepool ended the 11th season in the National League table with 60 points of 46 games.
