I’ve loved Bermuda shorts for years, long before the fashion world decided they were this summer’s must-have.
Once the temperatures rise, tailored short suits are my go-to for looking chic and staying cool in the city.
This year I borrowed an oversized blue Oxford shirt from the boys and I’m going to combine it with the nice long shorts from H&M.
I added red accessories and retro sunglasses to give my Bermuda shorts a cool 70s vibe.
These tailored shorts are ideal for work, but they also look great at a social event with a bandeau vest or one-shoulder top – when the sun is shining!

Bermuda shorts have always scared me, but these from H&M are so stylish I don’t know what I was afraid of!
Big and baggy denim styles are not for me, but in a neutral color and tailored? Yes please.
Whether it’s on vacation on board or in my favorite local restaurant, eating outside is one of the joys of summer (when it’s not raining, of course!).
I love these shorts paired with a black top for an easy, stylish evening look.
Because they are longer, I don’t get chair marks on my skin when I sit all evening and they are also super comfortable.
I also fell in love with this fitted round neck blazer from Aligne. I’ll be wearing it for the rest of the summer and probably the rest of the fall!
Combined with my other new love – flip flops – and a black clutch, my simple yet chic look is complete.

I love Bermuda shorts, but since I’m only 5’11” it can be hard to find shorts that fit well and are the right length. These shorts from H&M are just right. Plus the boxy shape makes my legs look longer which is a plus!
Normally I wouldn’t wear shorts to the office, but the pleated cut of these pants makes them ideal for brightening up any work outfit.
I paired them with a crisp white shirt and a leopard print jacket, which I’ve been eyeing for a while now. It looks like this will continue to be a trending print for fall/winter.
Sturdy loafers and a spacious shopper, ideal for carrying my laptop, complete the look.
And I am really impressed with the quality of this brown belt. For less than £20,- at Mango, it brightens up your outfit and makes everything complete.
