A 'bad stepmother' accused of abusing her son while holding him trapped in her house in Connecticut for 20 years before the court with striking makeup and a low-cut blouse.

Dozens of reporters and paparazzi surrounded the 56-year-old, accused of mistreatment, kidnapping and cruelty, approaching the courthouse next to her lawyer Ioannis Kaloidis. She did not respond to their questions.
Kaloidis led her by the hand to the entrance while she repaired her gaze straight ahead and marched through the media scrum.
Sullivan said that she is not guilty of any violations and was released this month on a bond of $ 300,000. The victim, her now-32-year-old stepson, is not mentioned.

Sullivan is accused of subjecting her stepson to a 20-year campaign of cruelty and hunger in their Waterbury, CT Home.
The alleged victim has accused her of keeping him imprisoned in a room there without heat or air conditioning or the right access to food since he was 11 years old.
He said that Sullivan also robbed him access to a bathroom, so he came up with ways to remove his waste, including the use of a series of straws that led to a hole in a window.
The man added that he saved part of his daily ration from two small water bottles to bathe without soap and cut his own hair. Pieces of his teeth would even break down if he ate due to a lack of dental care.
Neighbor Zeffney Guarnera – whose daughter once confused the victim for a spirit – previously told DailyMail.com that he did not even realize that Sullivan had a son.
He also saved her striking appearance when he was asked what she did for work.
“I have no idea what she did for work, I just know she has dressed like a wanderer,” he told Dailymail.com.
“She just dressed very provocative for an older woman. Like why do you try to dress as if you were 22? '

The alleged cruelty of Sullivan ended on 17 February, when her stepson set fire to the house in a deliberate attempt to save herself and told his story to the responding police and firefighters, according to the arrest warrant.
The police are now trying to determine how this could have happened without anyone noticing and whether warning signals were missed.
Researchers want to look at records of city schools and the State State of the State of the State, said Waterbury Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo at a press conference earlier in March.

The man told the police that he was constantly hungry. When he was in school, he would ask classmates for food, steal food and eat from the waste.
In later years when he was out of school and limited to the house, he would get two sandwiches a day and some water while he is locked up in his room.
The only interactions of the police with the family were in 2005, the chef said. One was a welfare check after children who had gone to school with him before he was withdrawn from his concern about him.
Sullivan will appear in court again on Friday, when she will introduce a formal plea.
