A mother of three comes up with an easy solution for children whose little ones refuse to eat vegetables.

Unlike many parents around the world, the mother of three is only known as LMBambini on Instagram has never had a problem feeding her children vegetables.

Although vegetables are packed with essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals, many children find their often bitter taste too strong.

While little ones can easily accept and grow fond of sweets, a diet rich in vegetables is not. But according to the clever mother, there is an easy way to fix this.

”Then I recently realized that my kids are really good at eating vegetables, and they always have been.

“And I thought, how did I do that?” the mother said in her video.

What’s the secret trick to getting your picky foodie to eat his five portions a day?

According to the mother, it’s all about serving the vegetables at the right temperature.

She explained that she doesn’t serve a plate full of warm vegetables, but rather serves them cold.

“If it’s broccoli, I rinse it under the tap, let it cool and then cut peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes or carrots into pieces.”

The mother of three makes sure that half of her plate consists of cold vegetables and the other half of a hot dish, which she tells the children is “hot.”

This means that the children can enjoy the healthy vegetables while the ‘hot’ food cools down.

Proud mum buys freezer full of food for just £12 but internet users say it’s ‘nonsense’ that they ‘wouldn’t feed it to their dogs’

This simple but effective trick turned out to be a real game changer: her three children now automatically eat the vegetables first.

The ultimate ‘mother trick’ has taken the internet by storm, with the page now viewed over 220,000 times and generating dozens of comments.

Some thanked her, others shared their own favorite methods. One wrote, “I put a plate of raw vegetables on the table while I’m eating dinner and don’t say anything about it… usually the plate of vegetables is empty by the time I serve dinner!”

How can I help my picky eater?

Whether your child is in the “no” phase or will absolutely only eat beige fruit, one mom has shared her tips for helping picky eaters.

Fabulous Senior Digital Writer and mother of two Sarah Bull shares her experiences with fussy eaters and the tips and tricks she’s tried…

It can be frustrating and also worrying when you have a difficult child. Trust me, I know, I have two! But there are a few tips for the NHS suggestions that I found useful.
The first is to not worry about what your child eats or doesn’t eat in a day. Instead, think about a week and see if their intake is balanced and healthy.
“If your child is active, gains weight and looks well, then they are getting enough to eat,” the NHS says on its website.
Try to include as many foods from the four main food groups as possible: fruits and vegetables, starchy carbohydrates, dairy products, and proteins.
If they don’t seem to like a certain food the first time you offer it, don’t give up. Research shows that it takes eight to fifteen times of offering the food before they actually like it.
Try to eat with your child and eat the same food. If they see you eating, they are more likely to do the same.
Don’t overfill their plate. You can always add more if they finish it. But a plate full of food can often be overwhelming.
Another thing to remember is not to overload children with snacks. Two healthy snacks a day is “enough”, according to NHS guidelines.
Another thing I’ve found helpful is to involve your kids in the cooking process. My daughter is much more willing to try new foods if she’s made them herself.”

Someone else couldn’t believe it and wrote: “Wow, is this genius or what?!

Another shouted: “Where were you a year ago??”

Still, not everyone was convinced the trick would work. Some were even quite skeptical.

One mother said, “Um, my kid will wait until the other half of the plate is cold.”

“When they were younger it worked, but now that they’re 7 and 9, they don’t touch it anymore,” another parent chuckled.
