Two men died after their car had been stabbed from a bridge in a river at night, with a female passenger who is lucky to escape.
The car stabbed a bridge over the Richmond River in Fairy Hill, near Lismore in the north of NSW, around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old female passenger managed to leave the vehicle before it went into the water and walked two kilometers to increase the alarm.
Police rescue and SES officers were quickly present, but there was no hope to save the men.
An operation on Thursday collected the immersed Ford Falcon.
A crime scene was founded on Droneys Bridge as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash with one vehicle.
