HighPoint Technologies has unveiled a portable NVME storage solution that almost offers a petabyte of capacity.
The new system has eight from Solidigm’s D5-P5336 122TB SSDs housed in the HighPoint RocketStor 6542AW NVME RAID housing. Together, these 976 TB deliver storage in a design that is compact enough for mobile or space -reduction environments.
The RocketStor 6542AW supports all eight SSDs via a single PCIE connection. The PCIE switching technology from HighPoint makes fast data transfer speeds possible, with regard to the performance needs of data-heavy industries.
NVME storage with high capacity, seamless scalability
“This collaboration between Highpoint and SolidigM is a game changer in Enterprise Storage,” said May Hwang, VP at HighPoint Technologies.
“By qualifying the Solidigm D5-P5336 SSDs in our RocketStor 6542AW, we have made an unprecedented solution that combines NVME storage with high capacity with seamless scalability.”
The device itself is slightly less than five centimeters long and just over nine centimeters long. Despite the small size, the entire PCIE X16 connectivity offers, making it suitable for professionals in motion, small studios or business environments that need powerful storage in a limited space.
This setup supports applications such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis and media production, where both speed and storage capacity are essential.
In AI and Machine Learning, modeling training often depends on rapid access to large data sets.
With its Solidigm SSDs, the RocketStor 6542AW supports faster training cycles. This helps researchers and developers to manage workloads with improved efficiency.
For Enterprise Backup and HPC workload, offer Raid support and high-speed connections safe, fast back-ups and data access with low latency.
HighPoint says that the housing is well suited for complex tasks such as Engineering Simulations and Scientific Research, where high transit is necessary.
In media production, especially with 4k And 8k Content, fast storage is the key. The RocketStor 6542AW offers 28 GB/s transfer bandwidth and sufficient space for large video files. This helps to work smoothly and display workflows in film, animation and design.
“As the approval of the hardware in the AI ecosystem is increasingly prevalent, this collaboration is considerably using Solidigm-industrial leading SSDs with high capacity and HWPoint’s HW Raid housing,” said Mike Mamo, senior chief engineer at Solidigm.
Solidigm’s D5-P5336 122TB SSDs just went on sale, priced at around $ 12,400. Eight of the mighty animals will reduce a cool $ 99,200. The housing itself is $ 1,799 on Amazon.
