Real Madrid confirms Xabi Alonso as their new head coach for a three-year-old deal after the exit from Carlo Ancelotti to Brazil … with ex-man United boss Erik ten Hag the leader to replace him at Bayer Leverkusen

Real Madrid have officially appointing the appointment of Xabi Alonso as their new manager posted in a club statement on Sunday morning.
The Spanish giants announced that he would sign a three -year deal, starting on June 1 and on June 30, 2028.
This allows Alonso to take the lead over the team for the coming World Cup ClubIt starts on June 14.
Alonso, 38, will be unveiled as the new head coach of Los Blancos on Monday at 12.30 pm local time.
The Spaniard is strongly connected to the club after he had impressed his first job in management at Bundesliga Side Bayer Leverkusen.
In his first season at the helm in 2023-24, he led them to the title unbeaten because they could not lose any match.

Real Madrid’s club statement is: ‘Real Madrid CF announces that Xabi Alonso will be the following three seasons of Real Madrid, from 1 June 2025 to 30 June 2028.
‘Xabi Alonso is one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and World Football. He wore our shirt in 236 official competitions between 2009 and 2014. During that time he won six titles: the Tenth European Cup in Lisbon, one European Super Cup, one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey titles and one Spanish super cup.
‘Now he returns to Real Madrid as one of the best coaches in the world, after he wrote history in Bayer Leverkusen, where he won the competition, Cup and German Super Cup in three seasons.
“On Monday 26 May, at 12.30 pm, Xabi Alonso will be presented as the new Real Madrid coach during an event held in Real Madrid City.”
His recruitment comes after Real officially announced on Friday that Ancelotti would leave the club at the end of the season to take the lead over the national team of Brazil.
Ancelotti, 65, won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Laliga twice twice In his second stint and the first foreign coach of the Selecao becomes on 26 May.
