The driver is said to have stopped at a junction between Newbridge Road and Nuwarra Road around 1pm on Saturday.

Police are investigating whether the driver had a medical episode prior to the accident.

“He went off the road, crashed into the gate of the local church and then ended up under a classroom at school,” Sergeant Shaun Colls said. 7News.

“Luckily it’s the weekend (so there were no kids in school),” he said.

A dozen cars were reportedly hit when the truck entered the intersection, while four people – including the truck driver – were treated by paramedics at the scene.

A woman in her 20s, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 70s were all taken to Liverpool Hospital.
