West Coast Premiership -star Adam Selwood is remembered as the ultimate teamman who also had an infectious personality, after his sudden death earlier this month at the age of 41.
Selwood’s Tragic pass in Perth on May 17 Only three months after his identical twin and colleague – Offspring Player Troy Selwood died.
Members of the famous Selwood family of the AFL, Adam and Troy were brothers from Geelong champion Joel and former Eagles and Cats -Middielder Scott.
Adam Selwood played 187 games for West Coast, including the Premiership of 2006, before retired from football in 2013.
On the Lathlain -Basis of the club Perth On Wednesday afternoon, many of the former teammates of Selwood attended a private commemorative service, including people like Captain Chris Judd, Ben Cousins, Daniel Kerr and David Wirrpanda.
Other old teammates, including Josh Kennedy, Matt Priddis, Andrew Gaff and Mark Lecras were there too.

A funeral pamphlet for the event contained a photo of Selwood in a suit and tie, with the words ‘in loving memory of Adam Murray Selwood’.
It comes after the Selwood family has issued a statement through the AFL on the day the father of two died.
‘We are deeply driven by the death of Adam. Words cannot express the grief and the grief that we feel.
“Adam was a loving husband and an incredible father of Lenny and Billie. We are devastated to lose such a great husband, father, son and brother.
“We will miss Adam deeply – his spirit, his kindness and the joy he brought to every room. His determination, the lessons he shared, and his infectious personality will always stay with us.
“Adam had a unique ability to make people feel special, and our family was lucky to experience that every day.”
Troy Selwood, who played 75 games for the Brisbane Lions, died in February And was remembered by his twins Adam as a ‘built -in best partner’ at his funeral.
Adam stated the writing of the praise was the ‘most difficult’ that he had ever had to do.
“Having identical twins is both a rare privilege and beautiful complex,” said Adam in the memorial service of Troy in Gmhba Stadium in February.

‘Twins is more than a brother or sister, they are a constant presence, a built -in best partner and someone you understand in a way that nobody could ever.
“Troy wasn’t just my brother; He was my mirror, my brightest competitor, my greatest ally and the only person who knew what I always thought.
“Losing him has left a huge gap in my life.”
The Premiership teammate Adam Hunter from Adam Selwood also died in the same week as Troy Selwood in February.
Hunter, who also played with the Eagles in addition to Scott Selwood, was 43.
In the meantime, West Coast 2006 led Primeiership Coach and the current head of football John Worsfold tribute to Adam Selwood after news about his sudden death.
“Adam was a great teammate who loved the club and loved his Footy,” said Wosfold.
“He always put his friends and the team first, and he would say that now. He would like to see our club grow and return to success on the field.
‘We prepared him at the age of 18 and saw him grow like a player and person.
“We got to know the Selwood family so well over the years, and they are such great people to whom our hearts are more than whatever.”

Afg Chief Executive Andrew Dillon said he could not imagine the pain of the Selwood family.
“On behalf of the Afl and all our clubs, I want to send our love to his wife Fiona and their two children, to Maree and Bryce Selwood, Joel and Scott, and their families, and all the many friends and colleagues of Adam and previous teammates in West Coast and about football,” Dillon said in a statement.
Originally from Bendendo, Adam Selwood moved to Perth when he was set up by West Coast in 2002.
He joined the coaching of the Eagles after his retirement as a player and collaborated with the club and teams of the club.
Selwood was also the inaugural head of the female football of West Coast, in charge of setting up the club’s APLW team.
