A drug dealer has admitted that he killed a seven-year-old boy and a man in the thirty in a horror explosion that tore flats through a block.
The explosion tore through six properties in the terraced street of Violet Close in Benwell, Newcastle, in the early hours of October 16.
Little Archie York died on the spot, while the body of Jason Laws, 35, was later discovered under rubble.
Reece Galbraith, 33, today pleaded two accusations of manslaughter to the Crown Court in Newcastle.
Galbraith, Van Gateeshead, also admitted a controlled drug, Cannabis, to be produced and delivered between November 1, 2023 and 17 October 2024 about the range of a controlled drug, Cannabis, between November 1, 2023 and 17 October 2024.
Judge Paul Sloan KC postponed the case until 14 May and said that the court will then consider whether Galbraith is 'dangerous'.
The judge said to Galbraith: 'You have to understand it, the fact that I have postponed a punishment and the fact that I have led the preparation of a pre-sentence report is not an indication of the sentence that will be imposed.

'As you will be aware, you will be confronted with an important, immediate custodial sentence. The length of that sentence is determined by Mr. Justice Cotter during the Asht session in May.
“You are taken into custody pending the punishment.”
After the tragedy, a sea of ​​tribute was laid at the place of destruction.
Labated on the spot in a heartbreaking letter, wrote Archie's Aunt Abbie York: 'You were the funniest little boy, always with a naughty smile on your face.
'You were the brightest light in every room and our world is a lot darker without you.
'If your aunt you made me as proud as you would sit and make your handicraft with handwriting and read books.
'I could talk about you forever, because you were really the Mot Amazing Boy!

A total of 140 inhabitants from their houses were evacuated in the night of the explosion.
Since then, the demolition work has started with the most damaged properties.
Some residents have been able to return home, while others were moved to different municipal property and some are temporary accommodation while repairs are being carried out.
