The handset, which is said to be a mid-range option, is now reportedly being tested in the European and Asian markets, thanks to spotted software builds – indicating that a launch is imminent. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G in the coming months.

The rumored Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is expected to be the most affordable offering in this series. As mentioned earlier, the development of this smartphone is believed to be already underway.
The report claims that the Xiaomi 12 Lite is currently being tested in the European and Asian markets, pointing to two software versions that it has detected: V13.0.0.7.SLIMIXM and V13.0.0.24.SLIEUXM. Previously, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G was reportedly spotted on the IMEI database, codenamed “taoyao” and with a model number of 2203129G. The device is expected to borrow some specifications from the base Xiaomi 12 and come with a 3D edge design like the Xiaomi Civi.

As per the previous report, the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is said to feature a 6.55-inch 3D curved edge AMOLED display with full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is also said to come with support for Always-On Display. There is said to be an in-display fingerprint sensor which is powered by Goodix. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC is said to power the smartphone. There is said to be a triple camera setup on the back, with a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor. There are also expected to be ultra-wide and macro lenses to complement the primary camera.
