Donald Trump and his wife Melania were all smiles as they watched a fireworks show during one of the many celebrations held in Washington DC ahead of the inauguration.
Trump marked his return to power with a party at his Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, about 30 miles outside Washington.
In addition to the First Couple, many of the key players in the Trump inner circle were in attendance, including daughter and former senior adviser Ivanka, who attended with her husband, Jared Kushner.
All of Trump's adult children and their spouses were present, with Don Jr. was joined by his controversial new boyfriend Bettina Anderson, while Tiffany attended with husband Michael Boulos, as well as Eric and wife Lara.
But all eyes were on Donald and Melania, who flashed each other a rare smile as they watched the display.
The president-elect briefly addressed the crowd and pointed out some notable people, including Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Trump named his Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, whom he called “a great negotiator” after an agreement was reached on the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Many favorites from Trump's playlist washed over attendees, including “YMCA” — which The Village People will play live for attendees this weekend — and “A Man's, Man's, Man's World.”

Just after 10 p.m., the party left and about three dozen Trump fans cheered “Trump, Trump, Trump” from a nearby supermarket parking lot as the motorcade passed by.
Elsewhere in Washington, newly elected Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha were also spotted arriving dressed to the nines for The Vice President's Dinner.
Attendees at that event included Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with Cheryl Hines and Marco Rubio present at the National Gallery of Art in DC.
JD and Usha were spotted sharing a kiss before the new Vice President delivered a speech.
This weekend, rappers, billionaire tech titans, country music sensations and others will make President-elect Trump's second inauguration bigger and better than ever before.
The newly sworn-in president and first lady Melania will attend three official balls, while a slew of other parties and events will take place over the inauguration weekend.
One big change from eight years ago is that more musical acts are willing to perform at Trump's inaugural events — including Carrie Underwood, Gavin DeGraw, Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus and Jason Aldean.
Snoop Dogg headlined the inaugural Crypto Ball on Friday night, while rapper Rick Ross also took the stage.

The tech titans are also taking over the city – with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and TikTok CEO Shou Chew all invited.
The Village People – who perform MAGA classics YMCA and Macho Man – will be present everywhere.
Trump has the group perform at his Sunday afternoon rally at Capital One Arena, alongside Cyrus and MAGA mainstay Kid Rock.
They'll then head to Turning Point USA's big bash, where DailyMail.com has learned that Conor McGregor will join other MAGA personalities including Megyn Kelly, Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, Alina Habba and Riley Gaines.
The Village People will also perform at the Liberty Ball – one of three official balls – where Aldean is expected and a “surprise musical guest” is teased.
Victor Willis is the only original member of the Village People to perform with the group. The group now consists of Willis, Javier Perez, James Kwong, Nicholas Manelic, James Lee and James JJ Lippold.
There will be some Hollywood in Washington on opening weekend.
The Creative Coalition, the nonpartisan arts advocacy group that also sent representatives to both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions last year, will hold a dinner benefitting military groups on Friday evening.
The host committee includes Wings' Tim Daly and Madam Secretary – the group's president – his Wings co-star Steven Weber, as well as Breaking Bad's Dean Norris, Only Murders In the Building's Richard Kind, Young Sheldon's Iain Armitage and Yolonda from The Chi. Rose.
While the Creative Coalition is nonpartisan, it's unclear whether any other MAGA celebrities will be in the audience on Monday.

A representative for Mel Gibson told DailyMail.com that he will not be attending. He recently appeared at an event for General Michael Flynn's group at Mar-a-Lago.
A publicist for actor Dennis Quaid – who is a Trump supporter – said “oh, that's a private decision” when asked if the Reagan star would attend the inauguration.
A number of state associations and conservative groups also organize galas.
One of the more colorful looks is the Legacy of Freedom Ball, hosted by the Black Conservative Federation, with rapper Waka Flocka Flame and former NFL player Antonio Brown expected to attend.
Waka Flocka Flame very publicly supported Trump ahead of the November election, while Brown appeared at Trump's rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, with the NFL player previously playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Waka Flocka Flame will also perform Sunday night at the Power 30 Awards VIP reception and inauguration party, which is sponsored by TikTok — as Trump considers whether to sign an executive order to override the upcoming ban-or-sell law.

That event will pay tribute to emerging conservative voices, including “Libs of TikTok,” moderated by Chaya Raichik, Jessica Reed Kraus of House in Habit, Ben Shapiro, Gaines and others.
Even progressives will have a place to drown their sorrows.
Left-wing restaurant chain Busboys and Poets is hosting a Peace Ball at DC's Arena Stage, which is expected to feature members of “The Squad,” including Reps. Ilham Omar, Rashida Tlaib and former Rep. Cori Bush.
Writer V, formerly Eve Ensler, and Alice Walker, as well as CODEPINK's Medea Benjamin, who was kicked out of Trump's Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's confirmation hearing this week, will also be in attendance.
