Tragedy at popular Queensland swimming spot after girl falls off waterfall and friend dives in to save her

The body of a teenage girl has been found by police after a tragic incident at a popular swimming spot in Queensland.

Queensland Police confirmed the 17-year-old girl's death on Sunday afternoon after combing the Sunshine Coast's Wappa Falls for the pair.

Police believe she started having trouble swimming before her 17-year-old friend dived in to help her.
