“As a result, his medical team has confirmed that he will not race tomorrow and that he will undergo a procedure to solve these problems before he concentrates on his recovery.”
The team added that due to “sports regulations”, Fernando Alonso Would be their only car that runs in Spain.
F1 Rules only state drivers who participated in the qualification can start on the grid.
