Kyle & Jackie O Show Pulled From Air Over Secret Health Struggle
The Kyle & Jackie O Show was unexpectedly absent from their radio show on Wednesday morning, as the KIIS FM station was forced to play reruns of their best moments.
Radio insiders have revealed to Daily Mail Australia that almost the entire show’s team has been plagued by illness in recent days.
It comes after co-host and shock jock Kyle Sandilands, 53, detailed on Monday and Tuesday how increasing numbers from his team were unable to work due to various illnesses spreading through the studio.
On Monday, reporter Cooper Johns was absent after showing “scams” all weekend, along with producer Joshua Fox, who has pneumonia.
The following day, Sandilands show director and manager Bruno Bouchet was also absent due to an undisclosed illness.
Listeners were also informed on Tuesday that Content Producer Natalie Penfold would be out for a month after breaking both her feet.
It is believed that Sandilands and/or his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, or perhaps both, are now also suffering from mystery illnesses.
An ARN spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that Sandilands is “unwell” and will “hopefully” return to the show on Thursday.

This comes after the radio presenter recently visited a vascular surgeon after struggling with several health problems in recent years.
During a segment last week, Sandilands revealed he had a routine check with a Doctor who diagnoses and treats blood vessel problems.
The 53-year-old man explained that his results had not changed since his last visit, but he did receive some health advice that shocked him.
“I was put on the table like a piece of meat. Taken off and examined,” he explained.
‘And then the surgeon says, “Yes, exactly the same as last time. Maybe quit smoking.”‘

But when Sandilands asked his doctor if he could continue vaping THC, a cannabinoid found in cannabis and often used legally for therapeutic purposes, his doctor said no.
The shock jock has long been open about his ongoing health problems.
Last year, Sandilands addressed another health issue live, saying that various blood and bone marrow tests were being performed.
“I’ve had blood tests and the numbers are going up. If it gets to 16 I’ll have leukaemia,” he told KIIS FM celebrity doctor Sam ‘Dr KIIS’ Hay in August 2023.
“The doctor said he had to check my bone marrow. Am I knocking on heaven’s gate, am I going to die?” a concerned Kyle asked Hay.
Fortunately, Hay was able to assure Kyle that everything would be fine, but he did warn the radio king that he would have to change his lifestyle.
“Stay healthy. It is recommended that everyone is active throughout the week and we can develop a good training program for you with cardio exercises,” Hay told him.
In 2020, Sandilands announced that he could die at any moment due to his sky-high blood pressure.
“I could die — that is, at any moment, any time, day or night,” he said during an interview with 60 Minutes.
In October 2019, he told The Daily Telegraph that he was eating healthier and had stopped drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and taking drugs.
