Samsung could start production of Galaxy Tab S10 series in August

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series is speculated to launch later this year, building on the company’s introduction of flagship foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this month. Production of the company’s upcoming tablets could begin next month, according to claims from a market analyst. Notably, a recent report suggested that Samsung could unveil its two-model Galaxy Tab S10 series in October.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series Production

In a after On X (formerly Twitter), Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young claims that Samsung will begin production of its Tab S10 series in August. Young also confirmed previous leaks that suggested only two models could debut this year: the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, with Samsung reportedly ditching the base model of the tablet.

Both tablets could come in two colors: gray and silver, the analyst said. In addition to the production timeline, Young also suggests that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Tab S10 series in October, corroborating a claim from journalist Max Jambor, who previously suggested the devices would arrive that month.

Young didn’t provide any other details about the tablets’ launch. Previous leaks, however, have revealed substantial information about Samsung’s upcoming tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series specifications (expected)

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra will reportedly feature large AMOLED displays that measure at least 12-inches. Benchmark observations of the Tab S10 Plus suggest that it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The tablet could run Android 14 out of the box and will come with a model number SM-X828U.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra could come with a 14.6-inch AMOLED display, similar to the existing model. Leaked renders of the tablet were also spotted recently, suggesting an unchanged design. Speculation is that the quad-speaker setup with sound by AKG will remain, while the S-Pen could still magnetically attach to the back of the tablet.
