A man has been charged with murder after another man was found unconscious in a Sydney ward and later died in hospital.
Police were called to a unit in Ryde just after 5pm on Saturday following reports of an attack.
Upon arrival, emergency services found and treated an unconscious 48-year-old man.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Detectives arrested a 24-year-old man who was being questioned at Campbelltown police station on Sunday.
He has since been charged with murder and breaching a prohibition/restriction in the AVO.
