And he is looking for the final loss of last year’s challenge cup for Wigan and the showpiece of 2017 loses to Hull FC when he was with the Warriors.

But despite the rapid recovery, he is adamant that he does not risk it because of it.

Williams said: “I am not stupid. Of course, if I didn’t feel that I could do a job and then had to come, then I would not impose my hand

“My rehabilitation really went very well. Fingers are crossed that I’m fine, but I feel really good. I have always been a quick healer.

“And Wembley was a simple goal. If you know you are doing everything well and you play at Wembley, you do it.

“But I won the grand finale in the third attempt, hopefully history can repeat itself. Win this weekend and my memories of Wembley will be formed.”

Warrington Have already been on the big stage this year – and flopped in Las Vegas.

So Williams knows that Sam Burgess’s side must live up to invoicing Hull KR On Saturday.

He added: “Last year we lacked Wembley. We did not perform at all in Vegas and with this group of course since Sam took over, we won nothing.

“So this is our second chance of Wembley. I think we had 10 or 11 boys who had never played in the final before and I think the opportunity has improved us.

“There are no apologies this time, even though we play at the top of the competition. Now they have tasted the defeat there and thought:” I don’t want to do that again. “

“I have too. Hopefully we can now correct some mistakes.”

The return of Williams sets an Almighty game at distance with Rovers star Mikey Lewis, a man who is known for making a big sound on the field.

But it can be very different, as his national skipper said to Sunsport: “speaking from my experience, when we are with England, it can be pretty quiet.

“II is pretty weird. Mikey plays to the crowd, he does what he does, but he plays well, so it’s hard to discuss with that.”
