If you are going to compete with people like Sony And Bose for the title of the best ANC headphone, you have to take a game with you, and ideally a bag with a skull on it. And Skullcandy has done exactly that with its new Aviator 900 ANC headphones.
Where Rivals tend to offer a case, Skullcandy went for the more fashionable cross-body bag that is depicted below. And where rivals offer a form of spatial audio, Skullcandy is gone for Thx Spatial Audio with head.
The bag feels like a really useful and practical addition, while it is also a more fashionable option, so it might be a victory.
These are not the first Skullcandy Aviator -headphones: the previous model, relevant in 2010, was something of a hit among celebrities and influencers. This new model takes the same retro -testics, but brings it up -to -date.
Skullcandy Aviator 900 ANC: important features and prices
The noise reduction is adaptive here, with six microphones that analyze the audio around you, and with ANC you can get a very respectable 50 hours of listening; With ANC that rises to 60-plus hour. Fast charging gives you four extra hours from a load of 10 minutes.
Bluetooth is 5.3 with Le Audio And multi-point couples, and there is a low latency mode for gaming and watching video. Google Fast Pair and Google Finder are both supported.
The Aviator 900 ANC headphones comprises personalized audio via MIMI, and they are also supplied with three EQ presets and an adjustable 5-band EQ. You can adjust the button functions via the Companion app and there is Spotify Tap -support for direct access to your Spotify melodies.
These are the most premium headphones in Skullcandy, but we are not told, but they are not priced too expensive: the catalog price is $ 299 / £ 249 / € 299 / approximately AU $ 520.
That brings them into competition with the Sony WH-1000XM5 and the Bose Quietcomfort Headphones -Although they are still less premium priced than the $ 399 / £ 349 of the new ones Sony WH-1000XM6.
We look forward to seeing if they can stand against those headphones when it comes to performance – but when it comes to functions and design, they started well.
