Special Forces tough guy Ant Middleton is in Washington DC with Reform UK's top delegation to celebrate Donald Trump's inauguration.

The former SAS: Who Dares Wins presenter, 44, was fittingly pictured and booted alongside reform leader Nigel Farage and the party's new treasurer, billionaire property magnate Nick Candy.

All three, strict supporters of the 47th president, were captured in a photo in the US capital, with the White House illuminated in the background – while Middleton posed next to the statue of Abraham Lincoln in a separate photo.

Middleton's photo with Reform heavyweights appears to have cemented his position as one of the party's new big stars, having previously spoken at the September meeting.

It comes as MailOnline revealed earlier this month that the Afghan veteran was eyeing a new career on the frontline of politics – and wants to topple Sadiq Khan as the new mayor of London.

'Washington DC! Serious enough for you,” Ant wrote in an apparent nod to his future political ambitions, adding: “Change is coming.”

The controversial father-of-five – who served in the Special Boat Service, the sister unit of the famous SAS – has raised his political profile in recent weeks, with fierce attacks on Sir Sadiq.

Although he has not yet officially entered a mayoral race, with the election scheduled for 2028, retired frogman Middleton has heavily hinted that he will be on the ballot.

“I hear you all loud and clear and all I can tell you right now is that serious conversations are happening at the right levels and from a personal standpoint I will not ignore this call to action,” he wrote on X.

Earlier this month, the TV hardman outlined a plan to 'cleanse' London's blood-soaked streets and 'restore British culture' to the capital.

Middleton raged that Britain was 'rotting from its core' and claimed that London was now 'one of the murder capitals of the world'. And he said the capital's under-fire mayor “must go.”

The special forces veteran has also lashed out at Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, demanding he too be removed from office.

Ant wrote on

“With these two at the helm, there will always be division at the bow! Secure the perimeter and clean from the inside…'

Middleton, who was fired from his role as lead instructor on SAS: Who Dares Wins? from Channel 4. in 2021 over a series of controversial tweets, which also saw the Prime Minister branded as 'spineless'.

The TV personality said he had a “feeling” his “duties would be reinstated” after a fan told him “your province needs you, Ant”, while others urged him to run for the next mayoral elections in London.

Middleton doubled down on his prospective bid to become mayor of London by setting out a series of 'priorities' to tackle the city's knife crisis.

'Priority number one; Cleanse it of being one of the murder capitals of the world,” he wrote on Cleanse it of minors and women who are harassed and abused.

'Clean the roads of illegal vehicles (and drivers) used every day to commit countless crimes. Cleanse the country of the ridiculous accusations it imposes on an already burdened country.

'Clean the metro, public transport and the streets, they are disgusting for a capital. Scrap the ridiculously low and double standards of our Metropolitan Police Force so that everyone is treated fairly, but above all feels safe to wander the historic streets.

'Restore, celebrate and put our beautiful British culture, heritage, values and morals at the forefront and make London the heartbeat of our country once again. London must lead by example and lead by example.”

It is unclear whether Sir Sadiq will seek a historic fourth term in office at the next election, as he has been in power since 2016.

Mayor Khan has already come under fire from Labor over his fiery feud with new President Trump, which appeared to continue this weekend.

It led to an extraordinary political blow from a minister this weekend as Downing Street desperately tried to smooth over its strained relationship with Trump following blistering comments from senior Labor MPs in the past.

In 2018, David Lammy, now the Secretary of State, branded Trump a “misogynistic, neo-Nazi-sympathizing sociopath” and a “tyrant.” He has since dismissed his comments as “old news.”

Since his comments in a piece for The Observer, Sir Sadiq appeared to have taken a more conciliatory tone.

Ahead of today's inauguration, Sir Sadiq stressed that as someone “who believes in democracy, voting and elections, we must recognize the fact that Donald Trump is the elected President of the United States.”

And he claimed he now wanted to “work closely with the American president.”

But he added, “Let's keep our fingers crossed that this president is different than the last time he was president.”
