The secrets behind Queen Camilla’s glamorous look: from her favourite Tom Ford lipstick she wore at Wimbledon to facials using bee venom

Queen Camilla is known for her unwavering loyalty to both her staff and the experts who help her look her best.

For 35 years, she’s entrusted her signature blonde bob to Mayfair colorist Jo Hansford.

In addition, the 76-year-old royal has been working for years with nail and make-up artist Marina Sandoval, whom she hired 15 years ago.

Speaking to MailOnline, she described her working relationship with King Charles’ wife as ‘the best’.

Marina has been credited with enhancing Camilla’s increasingly glamorous appearance, which has blossomed particularly since her coronation.

And she has always opposed cosmetic treatments such as Botox and plastic surgery, as royal writer Tina Brown describes in her book The Palace Papers.

Although Camilla collaborates with Marina for official events, she often applies her own makeup.

This became clear at this year’s Wimbledon Championships, where she applied Tom Ford Lip Colour herself in the Royal Box on Centre Court.

The shade Indian Rose, a medium-dark purple, perfectly complemented her radiant complexion. It seems to be a favorite color for her recent beauty looks as well.

Tom Ford Beauty was founded in 2006 in collaboration with Estée Lauder CEO John Demsey.

The first launch of the now iconic Black Orchid fragrance paved the way for the brand’s expansion into a prestigious line of cosmetics and beauty products.

The Lip Colour formula provides a hydrating, long-lasting finish and offers up to eight hours of saturated colour durability.

Camilla first met Marina at Jo Hansford’s hair salon, where she was working as a manicurist.

It is believed that King Charles’ wife chooses Chanel nail polish and Sisley hand cream.

When it comes to makeup, Camilla takes a ‘less is more’ approach, which works well with her designer clothes.

When Marina works with the royal family, she chooses a light foundation, often mixed with a tinted moisturizer, to create a “very elegant and natural” look.

She accentuates her eyes with dark mascara and occasionally uses black liquid eyeliner, while she accentuates her eyebrows with a pencil.

Marina chooses for her cosmetics mainly renowned brands, such as Sisley, Guerlain, Chanel, Bobbi Brown and Armani Beauty. These brands provide a luxurious finish to Camilla’s make-up routine.

In The Palace Papers, published in 2022, Brown described what Camilla looked like as Charles tried to restore her reputation after Princess Diana’s death.

She wrote: ‘Camilla resisted all the enhancing folds and botox.

‘There was honesty in her country skin and crinkled, smiling eyes. Her hair never offered any nasty surprises.

‘It remained the same blonde hair as you had blow-dried it in the 70s, with the airy, Carmen-curled side wings.’

For official occasions, Camilla uses one of her two hairdressers: Hugh Green and Geraldine Mancini.

She is believed to have a strict skin care routine specifically tailored to those aged 60 and over.

This involves cleansing her skin with a mild cleanser and warm water, using a soft cloth, exfoliating weekly and using an anti-aging moisturizer daily.

Marina’s most important tip is: ‘Keep your skin clean and use a face mask if necessary’.

The Queen is known for her advocacy of skincare treatments and is a big supporter of Deborah Mitchell’s famous bee venom facials.

She even recommended this treatment to Kate Middleton before her wedding to Prince William in 2011.

The £300+ facial uses the venom of Kenyan bees to reduce signs of ageing and promote a rejuvenated appearance, with results visible after just one session.

Inspired by the success of her facials, Deborah launched her own skincare brand, Heaven, featuring products enriched with hyaluronic acid and bee venom.

Camilla reportedly prefers the Silk Skin Bee Bee Cream for its ability to give her skin a subtle glow.
