She established herself into a quiet life that raises goats and chickens after she had exchanged the Hollywood -Hills for a walking farm in her native Yorkshire.
Now Popster Mel B Has been busy detecting her dream country house with a glamorous make -over.
MailOnline can reveal the full details of the singer’s ambitious plans to transform the former working farm into a modern family house, complete with leisure facilities that match a global superstar.
Earlier this year we told how the Spice Girl had 2.2 million splashed on the remote building that takes place in 11 hectares of land and has a spectacular view over the surrounding Yorkshire Dales.
Now we can reveal Mel – who celebrated its 50th birthday earlier this week with a flashy party – has received the Go -Ahead of Planners to build a pool house and cinema space, together with an extension that will create a beautiful new Master Bedroom Suite.
The main bedroom, with a trendy standing bath, sits next to a large dressing room, sweeping walk through the surroundings and an en-suite bathroom.
Documents show that Mel wants to create a Reiki room for natural healing and a treatment room, as well as a new gym and a sauna and an outdoor space for a hot tub and ice bath.
There will also be a huge new kitchen and a new dog kennel complete with a special shower and ‘flap’ to allow the two Rottweiler ‘Protection Dogs’ and Yorkshire Terrier Cookie to come as they want.

The farm is set in the Rolling Yorkshire -Hills outside its native Leeds

The Spice Girl opted for a radical change of lifestyle and now enjoys her new life in the countryside

The building already has a swimming pool, but the plan is to cover it with a new extension with space for sun loungers – so that it can be enjoyed all year round.
The building – which will also offer the space for the gym – will lead to a new closed outdoor kitchen and dining room.
The singer, whose full name is Melanie Brown, recently gave an insight into her new life when she appeared on BBC show Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend last month.
Mel greeted the TV presenter on a powerful quad bike dressed in orange high views and jacket and completed the look with a leopard print crash helmet.
Mel described her morning routine and told how she was dressed in her ‘Daily Get Up’ and told how she ‘sorts the chickens from’ and ‘Potter around’ with the goats, whose she had called Sharon.
She told how the Farmyard animals, of which she said she had raised since they were ‘babies’, all had their ‘own personalities’, but added that there was ‘a pecking order’.
Mel told how the farm was very ‘a work in progress’ and how when she went into the only furniture she had she was a ‘Spice Girls Union Jack Sofa’ that she had bought after the band’s comeback tour in 2019.
Mel also showed how she had already started placing her own stamp on the building after she had decorated the living room with leopard print wallpaper.
In the meantime, her hairdresser from her hairdresser Rory McPhee, 38, had set up an upper floor with wall-to-wall Spice Girl Tour posters, photos and memorabilia to surprise her when she eliminated.
During the program, Mel and Alison also spent an evening among the stars with the roasting of Marshmallows in a fireplace on the edge of a wooded area on the building.
Mel has also kept fans informed about her radical change of lifestyle with incidental reports on social media.
In one Instagram post she wrote: “On Sunday we hug trees, spend time with the animals and take a Sunday dinner.”
In another Mel was depicted in a sports bra and warm pants while she grabbed fruit for the goats.

She posted: “Me and the animals … Days on the farm, always a good smile – it’s sometimes the simple things and I love them sooooo much playing with them.”
And recurring to the subject of her purchase of home, she concluded: ‘This will be my happy house, I think of my father, I think of my children, and I think of all those survivors who are there – you can reclaim your strength. Trust and faith. ‘
Mel’s Hideaway was once a modest farm and barn that was sold by the council in 1993 and turned into a substantial home in landing.
The real estate with five bedrooms – in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (OANB) – contained 6,950 square foot floor space and Mel’s two single floors and one double floors conversions will increase in size by 18 percent.
The building – which includes a separate detached office and double garage – is located in extensive gardens with an ornamental pond and two paddocks with a sweeping view over rolling hills and a nearby reservoir.
Descriptively her proposed plans, the planning agent of Mel said in a statement: ‘The building is completely hidden by considerable landscape architecture and has a very limited view of the site from the wider landscape and the surrounding countryside would be sufficiently respected.
‘The internal regulation is fundamentally unchanged but updated to briefly display the contemporary family life and to improve the existing leisure facilities.
“The polar hall is deliberately detached from the host home, low level and subordinate to the host possession that is intended to reflect many similar outbuildings that are found on other farm properties throughout the Dales.”
Local planning officials gave her the green light for the makeover in large designs after there were no objections from neighbors.
They said, “In general, it is considered that the proposed works will not detract from the character of the home or that of the surrounding Aonb landscape.”
Earlier this year, Mel – whose neighbors Former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate and Ex Manchester City – defender Micah Richards – told how she finally discovered what she ‘really wants’ and how returning to her roots in Yorkshire ‘was one of the best decisions she had ever made’.
She described how she had finally found her ‘sanctuary forever’ and how the farm was the perfect place for her three children Phoenix, 26, Angel, 18 and Madison, 13.

She describes the farm as her ‘happy’ place after her La Dream Soured

In February last year, she announced that her purchase of a new house had continued – and since then fans teases with social media posts

After her first divorce, she moved to Los Angeles with Belafonte, her former manager and together they bought a huge house in the Hollywood Hills, once owned by film legend Rudolph Valentino

And after purchasing the beautiful rural possession, she said: “This will be my lucky home”
Mel told her local newspaper: ‘I now have three goats, nine chickens and I have my two protection dogs and I have a forest.
‘So I come home and breathe the fresh Yorkshire Air, tend to take care of my animals and chill in my house and feel very grateful and appreciate it.
“This is the safest, best place I could be.”
Mel told her how she had come ‘full circle’ after she grew up in a council home in Leeds before traveling the world to international appliance and moved to America.
Her journey was sometimes a rocky one. Her first marriage to the Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar, who is Phoenix’s father, ended Braimdusus after two years with the couple in 2000.
The couple was founded in Little Marlow, Bucks, but Mel told how she was driven out by racist hate mail.
She told how she received letters and said, “Go from this village, you don’t hear, you can’t buy something like that.”
She moved to the United States and had a relationship with actor Eddie Murphy, father of Angel, before she married film producer Stephen Belafonte in Las Vegas in June 2007.
The couple bought a vast house in the Hollywood Hills, once owned by film legend Rudolph Valentino.
The building had four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a cinema, recording studio, a chef’s kitchen, outdoor kitchen, gym, playroom and a swimming pool with a view of the La Skyline.
But the 10-year marriage ended in a bitter separation with Mel who accused Belafonte of abuse, accusations that he denies.
The warring couple brought the house for sale for £ 6.8 million, but despite a lush renovation and sought -after environment, they had to lower the price twice to just less than £ 5 million as they became desperate to sell.
Although they earned more than £ 80 million during her career, Mel has passed through years of financial hardships after the split.
Last year she told how she had only left £ 700 in her name after expensive divorce and guardianship fights.
Mel revealed that she went so broken that she went shopping in Budget Stores Lidl and Costco after his return to the UK in 2019 and moved to her mother Andrea’s bungalow with her three children.

She said, “I did not expect that in my forty would happen after a successful career, but I couldn’t go anywhere else.”
Now she gets her life back on the right track and hopes it will be happy the third time if she makes the knot with Rory this summer.
The couple will get married in St Paul’s cathedral after Mel received special permission, because in 2022 she received a MBE for services to charity and vulnerable women.
In recent weeks, Mel has taken a break from her Farmyard tasks that stuck back and forward to the US, where she appears in a new season of America’s Got Talent that started to be broadcast last week.
Mel returned as a judge after an absence of six season.
She also succeeded in fitting in a romantic break with Rory in Paris last week while organizing a lush 50th birthday party in the Plush Habbibi Ramp Bar in Leeds, where guests were colleague Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Sport Spice Mel C.
