Tottenham dropped the ax on the run of Robert Vilahamn as manager of the Super League side of their wives.

Their farewell to ways with the head coach 42 follows the team that ends the 2024/25 campaign second of the soil.

Today, the club confirmed their decision to end Vilahamn’s reign that two days after they had fired their Prem Team boss Ange postecoglu.

Their 11th installed finish is their lowest ever in the WSL and follows a series of only five wins and five draws in 22 games and 12 losses.

In a written statement today, the club said: “There have been a few special moments during Robert’s term of office, including reaching the FA Cup final for the first time.

“However, the results and performance this season have not been to the level that we would expect and now the right time is to make a change.

“We have to thank Robert for his professionalism and efforts in the past two seasons, and we wish him the best for the future.”

Vilahamn’s two-season Tottenham Stint follows his three years at the Swedish club BK Hacken, where he worked as an assistant and then manager of their women’s team.

During his time as a hacking head coach, he sent them to two Swedish cup final and Champions League qualification in 2023.

The manager born in Sweden, who took the lead over Tottenham in July that year, enjoyed a promising start in the first season.

He led Spurs to sixth place next to the FA Cup final 2024.

He also sent them to their very first defeat of Arsenal in the WSL with a 1-0 win against the Gunners in Tottenham Stadium in December 2023.

The departure of Vilahamn follows some important changes at the senior level at the club.

Apart from the exit of the head coach and the departure of Postecoglu, Spurs-executive director Donna-Maria Culllen stopped from her role on 2 June.
