Nando’s ‘Run, don’t walk’ fans excited as Aldi sells counterfeit peri peri fries
IF you like to eat at Nando’s in the evening, you might want to stop by Aldi.
The supermarket is now selling a knock-off range, including peri-peri fries for just £1.49.
Nando’s fans are already raving about Aldi’s range and say they’ve rushed to get their hands on click when it hit the stores.
A shopper wrote on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK: “Don’t walk, damn it, run!! ‘Nando’s’ is now at Aldi.”
She showed how she had filled her counter with items from the range.
The Roosters range has been available at Aldi since July 25 and includes everything from lemon and herb thigh fillets (£3.29) to chicken fillets (£3.69).
Just like Nando’s chicken, there are different levels of spice so there’s something for everyone.
If you’re feeling daring, you can also try their chicken wing roulette for £4.99.
It all depends on how spicy you get, so it’s not for the faint of heart.
The Garlic Bread Ciabatta costs £1.99, the Macaroni Cheese £1.49 and the Halloumi Fries £2.49.
Nando’s fans can also choose from Spicy Rice (£1.99), Macho Peas (£1.99), Corn on the Cob (£1.99) and Peri Peri Seasoned Fries (£1.49).
No Nando’s knock-off recipe would be complete without peri peri sauce, and Aldi has a vegan Peri Peri Mayo Dip for just 99p.
According to Aldi, it’s made by “blending peri-peri chilli and creamy mayonnaise, adding a vibrant and spicy kick to any spread.”
The supermarket said on TikTok: “Our new Roosters range has launched and it’s pretty juicy.
“Get these main courses, appetizers, and side dishes in store now for the ultimate fakeaway party!”
Many buyers were enthusiastic about the range Facebookwith one saying: “I had the peri peri half chicken, chips and Mac n cheese, it was really good.”
Another added: “I gotta have some of this.”
Chicken lovers will have to be quick, because as with all Specialbuys, once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Nando’s fans get £10 off by ordering ‘the EXACT same food from another part of the menu’
FANS of iconic chicken joint Nando’s can save up to £10 on their final bill if they order a particular item from the menu that they rarely use.
Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert has revealed that when browsing the Nando’s menu, it’s a good idea to start with the sharing platters section.
Families and larger groups can save the most. The more food you want, the higher the discount on the partial offer.
For the biggest savings, it’s best to buy Nando’s largest and most expensive version, the Family Platter.
The price for sharing the meal is £55, but with the two whole chickens and five large side dishes you can feed up to six people.
If you were to order that huge amount of food alone, you would pay £31.90 for the chicken and £32.50 for the sides, so you would have to find £64.40, which is £9.40 more.
And what makes it even more delicious is that the chicken is already divided into four, so everyone can have a piece of chicken and a side dish for themselves.
For a group of five the price is just £11, which is much cheaper than most other meals on the menu.
