Nations League final marred by tragedy while fan dies after she has fallen in a layer below

Portugal’s Nations League victory in Spain was marred when a fan died during the game.

Tragedy when a fan fell of the second level of the main standard in the seating area below for full time.

Medical staff immediately responded to the incident, but could not save the fan.

UEFA confirmed that the supporter unfortunately died after the tragic moment in the Allianz Arena.

An explanation was: “There was a medical emergency in the Arena of Munich, and despite the efforts of the medical team, the person unfortunately died at 00:06 (CET).

“Our thoughts are with their loved ones in this difficult time.”

The sad news of death reached the teams as Spain Coach Luis de la Fuente spoke to it in his press conference.

After suffering on the field, he sent his sympathies to the family.

He said: “I want to express my participation to the family of a fan who died.

“That made us realize what is important in life.”

The Portugal Star admitted that death overshadowed the victory.

He added: “I would like to express my participation to the family of the fan who died.

“It throws a pall on our victory today.”

While manager Roberto Martinez Death described “extremely sad news”.
