Is This The UK’s Most Unique Wedding Destination? Couples Can Prepare For The Rollercoaster Of Marriage By Getting Married At A Country Retreat With A Huge Private Fairground
They say marriage is like a rollercoaster. This Kent wedding venue helps couples prepare for the experience.
That’s because it has its own fairground – the largest private fairground in the UK – with old-fashioned rides, food stalls, retro fairground games, rollers, dodgems, a Ferris wheel, a rollercoaster and, for the ultimate marriage training, a 35mph runaway train-themed rollercoaster.
The venue is called Marleybrook House and the website promises that the bride and groom will be ‘laughing over and over again’.
There is also plenty to do for the little ones. From children’s attractions at the funfair to play areas with swings, slides, a climbing frame and a trampoline.
The quirky concept has garnered many positive reviews, with guests saying they had a great time at the fair on Google reviews and some couples describe it as the ‘best day’ of their lives.

One reviewer wrote: ‘We had a great day at Marleybrook. The venue is beautiful and was the talk of the guests even before we had the crazy funfair.’
Marleybrook House was once the home of singer and actress Eartha Kitt and was used for many years as a retreat for show business celebrities.
In 2006 the property was purchased by the current owners and in 2013 it opened for weddings and events.

According to the website: ‘It is no surprise that Marleybrook House has been welcoming guests since its inception.
‘As your guests enjoy the quintessential English countryside setting, with blossoming flowers and budding romance, it’s almost like stepping onto the set of Darling Buds of May.’
