Man Utd announces Matheus Cunha in £ 62.5 million deal for ‘exciting and productive’ star

Manchester United has announced the arrival of Matheus Cunha.

The Brazilian has signed a contract that runs until June 2030 after his relocation of Wolves.

Cunha, 26, the Red Devils cost a stunning £ 62.5 million from the West Midlands Club.

The attacker earns £ 200,000 a week in the club- making him the fourth highest earner in the team.

Director of Voetbal Jason Wilcox has greeted the arrival of the talented attacker.

He believes that Cunha is one of the “most productive” players in the country.

Wilcox said: “Bringing in Matheus was one of our most important priorities for this summer, so we are delighted that we have completed his signing so early in the window.

“He has proven his assets to succeed in the Premier League as one of the most exciting and productive attackers in England during his time at Wolves, and before that in Spain and Germany.

“He has all the qualities we are looking for when we try to build a strong, dynamic and entertaining team that is able to challenge the biggest awards.”

Cunha said about the move that he hoped to become a vital player at Old Trafford.

He said: “It’s hard to put my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player into words.

“Since I was a child in Brazil, I watched Premier League matches on TV in my grandmother’s house, United was my favorite English team and dreamed of wearing the red shirt.

“I want to thank my family and everyone who helped me realize that dream.

“I can’t wait for the start of the preseason to get to know my teammates and to prepare for the coming season.

“All my focus is now on hard work to become a valuable part of the team and bring this club back to the top.”
