Behind-the-scenes footage from Donald Trump's Inauguration Day has revealed just how close his children – and grandchildren – really are.

From the president's youngest son, Barron, who photobombed his half-sisters, to his eldest Donald Jr., who broke down in tears as he was sworn in, the 2025 inauguration was a family affair.

All five of the president's children – Donald Jr., 47, Ivanka, 43, Eric, 41, Tiffany, 31, and Barron, 18 – attended the ceremony and celebrations along with his granddaughter Kai, 17. followed.

Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric are Trump's eldest children from his marriage to Ivana Trump, a Czechoslovakian fashion model and businesswoman who became a U.S. citizen in 1988. She died in 2022.

Tiffany is the daughter of the president and his second wife, actress and model Marla Maples, while Barron is Trump's youngest son, shared with his current wife and First Lady Melania.

Barron photobombs his half-sisters

NYU student Barron hilariously photobombed his half-sisters — Ivanka and Tiffany Trump — and their sister-in-law Lara Trump as they posed for photos at the U.S. Capitol ahead of the inauguration on Monday.

The 6-foot-2 teen snuck behind the group, caught in the blink of an eye by a Washington Post reporter.

The sneaky move brought a laugh from Ivanka, 43, who turned and playfully patted Barron on the back as she said, “That's the best!”

Tiffany and Lara also turned around in shock and smiled at the surprising interjection.

The president's 17-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump, took to Instagram to share her dazzling look for the inaugural ball on Monday night.

In photos and videos posted to her account, Trump's eldest grandchild dazzled in an off-white beaded dress with a corset bodice and a thigh-high slit designed by Sherri Hill.

“Inaugural ball dance ready @sherrihill,” she captioned a video showing off the dress.

Earlier in the day, the teen vlogger gave her YouTube subscribers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the events leading up to Trump's inauguration.

In the vlog, Kai revealed that she got some Sherri Hill dresses for the busy weekend.

“This is Sherri Hill,” she said as she showed off the dresses, which came in red, navy blue and gold.

“She sent me some dresses and they are amazing. All my ball gowns are from Sherri Hill.”

Lara Trump stops Eric who makes a hand gesture

Eric Trump caught the attention of conspiracy theorists after they saw him make a specific hand gesture during his father's inauguration.

He placed his hands in an inverted triangular formation that eagle-eyed viewers say resembles the symbol for the Freemasons or the mysterious “Illuminati.”

They also highlighted how Eric's wife Lara Trump appeared to mumble something to him before abruptly changing his position.

The incident in question occurred as the couple stood in line with President Donald Trump's other children in the Capitol Rotunda, where the ceremony was held Monday.

Eric took a seat on the right side of the stage where his father was sworn in when he made the gesture.

His wife then tapped him on the arm to make him shuffle and said something inaudible, causing him to drop his hands.

Donald Trump Jr. bursts into tears as his father is sworn in

Don Jr. went through the widest possible range of emotions on Monday when his father was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.

He first grinned when Donald Trump took the oath of office.

As “Hail to the Chief” sounded around the Capitol Rotunda and Joe Biden stepped forward to shake his father's hand, his eyes misted over and shone bright with tears.

His smile seemed to freeze, as if, as the proud son of a new president, he had to hold back a wave of emotions.

'Have you ever been so excited about a Monday? American strength is back,” he posted on X ahead of the ceremony.

Barron is praised as 'a true gentleman'

The president's teenage son gave the outgoing president and the deputy anchor firm handshakes after the swearing-in ceremony.

The peace gesture prompted fans to praise the New York University freshman as “a gentleman” and “well-behaved.”

'[Melania] I've never seen a more stylish 18 year old,” said one.

'Smart young man. Knows her way around the room,” a second person said. “He is very impressive and clearly well raised,” said a third.

Exes were also featured, including Don Jr.'s Kimberly Guilfoyle

Kimberly Guilfoyle was a guest at the presidential inauguration — and so was his new partner Bettina Anderson — but it was the Palm Beach socialite who floated into Donald Trump Jr.'s arms last night.

Despite her recent split from his son, President Trump's chosen ambassador to Greece, Guilfoyle, squeezed indoors during the swearing-in ceremony on Monday morning, sitting in the back of the audience.

Meanwhile, Bettina, 38, dressed in a houndstooth Dolce and Gabbana suit, was also in the crowd, slightly more prominent.

Securing a spot in the Capitol Rotunda in Washington DC was no small feat, given the need to make room for tech movers and shakers Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Sundar Pichai of Google and Mark Zuckerberg of Meta.

One source told DailyMail.com that even some eight-figure donors had to be excluded from the event.

However, Bettina was noticeably absent from the presidential inauguration ball.

Instead, Donald Trump Jr., 47, walked onstage at the black-tie event with his 17-year-old daughter Kai — one of five children he shares with ex-wife Vanessa.

Chloe, who he shares with ex-wife Vanessa, was seen happily twirling around as she held her dad's hand.

Meanwhile, Kai and her brother Donald III were also waving on stage.

Ivanka dresses like Audrey Hepburn

Although Ivanka has said she has no plans to move back to Washington DC with her husband Jared Kushner, she stole the show on Inauguration Day in her white ball gown.

Ivanka stunned in a custom reproduction of Audrey Hepburn's iconic 1954 couture gown.

The first daughter took the stage with her husband Kushner, 44, on Monday night to share in a romantic dance at the Liberty Ball in Washington, DC.

The mother of three opted for the elegant, strapless white dress with a long, flowing skirt and intricate black floral details.

The dress was a reproduction of Hubert de Givenchy's 1954 black and white haute couture gown, which was originally designed for Audrey in the film Sabrina.

Ivanka's rep said she was “honored” to wear the dress and was “incredibly grateful to the Arnault family and the Givenchy atelier for creating this masterpiece, capturing the original artistry and elegance with remarkable precision and craftsmanship .'

“Audrey Hepburn has long been a personal inspiration to Ivanka,” she added.

“She considers it a great privilege to honor her legacy in this way, and is incredibly grateful to the Givenchy team for bringing this moment to life.”

Tiffany is expecting her first child with her husband Michael Boulos, she announced last year.

Although she has consistently supported her father, Tiffany largely stays out of politics.

During the 2024 Republican National Convention, she did not appear on stage, but went skiing.

Barron's cool and confident demeanor sparks rumors

The teen's friendly demeanor at the inauguration led people to speculate that he might one day follow in his father's footsteps and become president himself.

Barron was close to his father when he was sworn in, and alongside the tech titans Trump has welcomed into his vision for his second term.

The NYU freshman took on a more mature role at the events this time around, as he was only 10 years old when Trump first entered the White House in 2017.

“There have been rumblings that Barron could be next in line for Trump's political dynasty,” Executive Politics Editor Kelly Laco said on the latest episode of Welcome to Magaland: Inside Trump's second 100 Days.

“He was right behind his father… we might see a little more of Barron and a more mature and more political role later.”
