A young mother allegedly murdered by her boyfriend in a motel had vowed not to be a victim of violence in a terrifying update on her Facebook account ahead of the gruesome murder.
Malena Concha, 25, died after her throat was allegedly slit by footballer Enzo Chamorro, 26, on Monday in Lomas de Zamora, a town outside the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
Surveillance footage showed the victim waiting next to her boyfriend outside the Satélite motel to book a room several hours before the alleged murder.
Separate footage showed Chamorro, who spent the previous two seasons with third division club Deportivo Camioneros, running through the motel car park for three hours after allegedly killing Concha.
Concha's untimely death comes more than four years after she updated her profile photo on Facebook to a photo of her playfully posing, accompanied by the statement: “I was born to be free and not be killed.”
Concha leaves behind a five-year-old daughter, whom she regularly called her “best friend” on her Facebook account.
“I hope you are happy for the rest of your life,” she wrote in the comments section of one of her daughter's birthday party photos, which have since been deleted.
'There is nothing better than sleeping next to you and waking up, seeing you grow step by step and making me happy every day with the things you learn.

“I feel like crying when I see you growing so fast and at the same time I'm so happy.”
Concha, who worked as a hairdresser, posted the day of her death several times on her Facebook page, with the final note simply reading: “Good times.”
On Monday, an employee at the motel told investigators that Chamorro approached the front desk around 5:30 p.m. local time and said he needed to get something from his vehicle.
The employee did not open the door for Chamorro, who immediately took off and climbed over a fence before disappearing.
Concerned employees visited the couple's room and found Concha unconscious and leaning over the bathroom toilet.
Buenos Aires police searched Chamorro's home after obtaining an emergency search warrant and found several objects stained with blood.
Police were alerted to his location by an anonymous tipster and found him at an intersection near the facilities of second division football club Club Atlético Los Andes.
Chamorro led police on a brief foot chase before he was eventually caught and taken into custody.
