Matheus Cunha hopes that he can bring the spirit of Wayne Rooney back to Manchester United.
The £ 62.5 million Brazilian new boy admitted that he always has the Red Devil team that the Champions League Back in 2008.

“He was the number 10, I remember it on his shirt and everyone loved the player’s skills – but he always brought more.
“He would slide tackle to try to take the ball, this kind of energy in him was a great example.”

“He is older than me and supports United – he showed me the way to start looking at the Premier League and the need to support United. We could only view the Premier League in my grandmother’s house, so we organized ourselves to go every weekend.
“When we played on the street together, on the beach, on the gravel, we mentioned those pitches Old Trafford.
“So, wow, it’s so hard to think about the past here – it’s very emotional for me.
“It is the most common expression that you can say at the moment, but yes, it is a dream come true for me.

And part of the move comes from manager Amorim, who gave Cunha that he helped to make the switch.
He said: “I have a lot of faith in him. I hope he succeeds in conquering the world as he did Portugal.
“I am here to help the team and help him. All our discussions have made my decision easier.”
