The Canadian golfer Corey Conners withdrew from the US Open shortly before the start of his last round on Sunday.
Conners had hurt his wrist and needed medical help during his third round on Saturday after playing a shot from a bunker in the 11th hole.
TSN reported that Conners sustained the injury in the first round on Thursday in Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA. He looked in pain while he received treatment but played and completed his third round.
He was 38th in the rankings on +8 for the tournament that entered the last day, where he would go alongside Ryan Fox.
CONNERS ‘partner Michael Kim on Saturday said that the Canadian looked in excellent condition in the last round before hurting himself.
“Corey Conners deserves a full page today,” wrote Kim on X. “The guy strips.

“He hit it out, but was certainly out of the rhythm that came in. Many wrists were worked this week after several photos of trying by getting this fat rough. ”
