My eyebrows are so long they could be braided – I have my husband trim them
A mother has revealed her eyebrows have grown so long she “could braid them.”
Emily Abraham, from Knightsbridge, London, previously struggled to grow her eyebrows but now relies on her husband to keep them in shape because they grow so long.
As a child, the businesswoman spent 20 minutes every morning filling in her eyebrows, and even tried semi-permanent makeup and microblading.
As a teenager, she struggled with her eyebrows after accidentally shaving one off.
But last year, the 46-year-old, who co-founded a second-hand designer goods store in Knightsbridge, London, called Love luxury, attended The Wimpole Clinic to undergo an eyebrow transplant.
The mother of five underwent an eyebrow transplant to encourage more hair growth, as she felt she had insufficient hair in that area.
Since then, the treatment, which costs between £3,000 and £5,000 and takes seven hours, has completely changed her life.
Emily said: “I had an incident when I was a teenager. I lived with my grandmother and she wouldn’t allow locks on the bathroom doors and she wouldn’t let me shave my armpits.
“One day I was secretly shaving my left armpit.
“She came in and I turned my head and the razor cut off half my eyebrow.
“Of course I thought, ‘I can’t walk around with half an eyebrow,’ so I shaved both eyebrows off.
“From that day on, my eyebrows never grew back the same. I really had Nice eyebrows raised to that point.
“Back then it was the 90s and the fashion was for thin eyebrows anyway. What did grow back, I plucked super fine.”
After having children, Emily noticed that it affected her hair growth even more, so she booked a Follicular Unit Transplant.
An eyebrow transplant involves surgically moving the eyebrow and the results can be visible for a lifetime.
This permanent treatment makes your eyebrows appear fuller, because the hairs that have been lost are replaced.
A surgeon performs this procedure using hair remnants or grafts to replace your current eyebrow hair.

“In month six I had full eyebrows. Now a year later I have the fullest, thickest eyebrows I could ever have dreamed of.
“My eyebrow hairs grow faster than my head hair.
“I like to manicure them every week. On social media, everyone always asks how long I can grow them the longest. Five weeks is the longest I can keep them going.
“It was ridiculous [when I grew them for five weeks]. I could braid them, I could French braid my eyebrows — they got that long. It was so silly.”
