Elon Musk’s shocking troll of Trump’s $500 billion Stargate AI announcement: Live updates

Elon Musk has poured cold water on the $500 billion investment in artificial intelligence celebrated by Donald Trump at the White House.

The tech billionaire appeared to troll the Stargate announcement, which included a cash injection from Japanese investment firm Softbank and plans to build data centers in the US.

“They don't actually have the money,” Musk wrote on X in response to an Open AI press release announcing the funding.

It is one of the first signs of a rift between Musk and Trump, who have been virtually inseparable since November's presidential election.

Trump is in his second full day in the White House and is already reshaping the federal government with a flurry of executive orders and the complete dismantling of diversity, inclusion and equity programs.

Last night he demanded that Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde apologize for her 'nasty' comments about 'grace' during the National Prayer Service on Tuesday.

Trump says open to Elon Musk's takeover of TikTok and negotiates deal with billionaire Larry Ellison in front of the press

President Donald Trump said on his first full day in office that he was interested in the idea that the world's richest man Elon Musk could buy TikTok to keep the United States from going dark.

Trump is against a law going into effect banning the popular video-sharing app because it is owned by a Chinese company.

He was asked on Tuesday whether he was open to the app being purchased by his close ally Musk.

“I would too,” he said at the end of an event launching an AI partnership between three companies, including Larry Ellison's Oracle.

“If you wanted to buy it, I'd like Larry to buy it too.”

Trump has already signed an executive order in an attempt to delay TikTok's shutdown.

Trump scraps DEI with new requirement to place every federal diversity program employee on paid leave Wednesday by 5 p.m.

Donald Trump quickly made good on his promise to break diversity, equity, and inclusion policies in the federal government as he plans to fire all DEI hires within 24 hours.

The new Trump administration sent a letter Tuesday to all heads and acting heads of government agencies, informing them that all federal employees in DEI positions must be on paid leave on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

All DEI offices in federal agencies will also be closed in the move, which comes after Trump signed an anti-DEI executive order before a cheering crowd during his inauguration on Monday.

In a letter first obtained by CBS News, the agencies were ordered to “take immediate action” against any departments “that focused solely on DEI initiatives and programs.”

The letter also demands that all public DEI-focused web pages be taken offline, and orders employees within the departments to report “any attempt to obscure these programs through coded or inaccurate language.”

The Woke Bishop Admits He Used the Inauguration Sermon to Deliver a Political Lecture to President Trump

Awoke Bishop Mariann Budde admitted she used a National Prayer Service to berate President Trump with a political lecture during what she described as a “one-on-one conversation.”

Budde — who went viral after she rebuked Trump during Tuesday's inaugural sermon — said she gave the controversial speech because of the way Trump portrayed transgender children and illegal immigrants “in the harshest light.”

The left-wing Episcopal bishop of Washington told CNN that she spoke “directly” to Trump in her homily.

“(I reminded) all of us that the people who are afraid in our country, the two groups I mentioned, are our fellow human beings, and they have been portrayed in the harshest light throughout the entire political campaign,” she said.

“I wanted to respond as kindly as possible with a reminder of their humanity and their place in our wider community.

Donald Trump Gives a Brutally Honest Assessment of Mariann Budde's Sermon and Makes Bold Demands for an 'Awoken' Bishop

Donald Trump issued a scathing rebuke to the woke bishop, who berated him during the National Prayer Service, branded her “not compelling or smart” and demanded an apology from the public.

The president denounced Washington Bishop Mariann Budde in a 1 a.m. post on his Truth Social platform, hours after she admitted to CNN that she used the religious event to deliver a political lecture.

“The so-called bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a radical left hardline Trump hater,” he railed.

'She has brought her church into the world of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart.”

After Budde used her sermon to beg Trump for “mercy” toward transgender children and illegal immigrants, Trump said her argument ignored reality.

“She failed to mention the large number of illegal immigrants entering our country and killing people,” he continued. 'Many have been deposited from prisons and psychiatric institutions. It's a massive crime wave happening in the US.
