I bought a Dollar Tree knockoff for a $34 makeup setting spray that you can buy at Ulta
A beauty lover has revealed the budget buy she made that rivals a popular setting spray.
She found a knockoff product at her local Dollar Tree that gives her the same glow as the makeup product.
Kim Nuzzolo (@kimnuzzolo) loves deals and explains how to find the most affordable beauty products.
In a TikTok videoShe raved about a setting spray from Dollar Tree for $1.25, which was comparable to a purchase she’d made a long time ago.
She previously shared budget-friendly dupes of the discount store’s Glow Recipe Watermelon line.
In the video, Nuzzolo says she bought the facial spray thinking it was an aloe mist for your body after a sunburn.
“Then I read the back and it said you can use this before your makeup to blend everything together, just like MAC Fix+,” she said.
The MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray is available at Ulta for $34.
According to the product description, it’s an “alcohol-free, multi-purpose setting spray that hydrates, primes, refreshes and sets makeup.”
The smart shopper talked about the ingredients that make the packaging look similar.

The Dollar Tree product contains water, hyaluronic acid and glycerin from leaf juice, which are also found in the MAC range.
She added that it contains soybean oil, cucumber extract, licorice root extract, marigold extract and baobab seed oil.
“All those ingredients sounded really good to me, especially for such a large format,” she said.
Then she decided to apply her makeup with it and see how it would look.
She liked the spray function because it “doesn’t feel like a water gun is being pointed at your face,” like other spray products.
After spraying her face with the Dollar Tree spray, she was left with a dewy scent and a “pleasant smell.”
Nuzzolo dried it with a “really cute fan” that she also bought at the store.
“Sprays melt all the creams and powders together,” she explains.
If you find your makeup looks too “powdery,” she says it’s best to use a setting spray to make everything look more “seamless.”
If you have dry skin, she recommends spraying it on your face too.
“You can do it before you put on your makeup, to prep it, and then, like I said, to make sure everything sinks in,” she said.
In the end, she was happy with the result.
“I feel like my makeup definitely matched it. I feel like it gave me a little bit of a glow,” she enthused.
The beauty fan said it was probably because of the soybean oil.
She suggested using it on a hot summer day to ‘fresh yourself up’ as it is a ‘multi-functional’ product.
Viewers were thrilled with the beauty deal and couldn’t wait to stock up.
“Oh wow! I have to try this!” said one.
“Great video! Thank you! Yes I found it too. I love it!!! Bought three so far…have one on my vanity, one in the pantry and one in my purse. I love this!!! Great find from Dollar Tree!”
