Shocking moment elderly man is brutally assaulted outside Hungry Jack’s – as two young men are arrested
A “friendly” elderly man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was allegedly brutally assaulted by two men in the parking lot of Hungry Jack’s.
Two men, aged 21 and 22, have been arrested over the shocking incident, which was captured on CCTV.
The horrific scenes unfolded outside Hungry Jack’s restaurant in Perth’s northern suburb of Jindalee at around 3.15am on Friday.
The injured man, a 70-year-old man who had been sleeping on the street, was rushed to hospital after the attack.
The man stays in Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in stable condition in the trauma unit.
The alleged attackers, who were reportedly unknown to their victim, fled the Cockleshell Brace neighborhood in a silver sedan.
Police announced they arrested two suspects Friday afternoon at a home in the nearby suburb of Butler.

Locals described the victim as a friendly man who walked around the neighborhood collecting cans.
While police collected evidence, the Hungry Jack’s parking lot was cordoned off.
