No charges will be filed against James Kennedy following his domestic violence arrest last month.
His attorney, Scott Leemon, released a statement announcing that the Burbank City Attorney's office had decided not to file charges against the Vanderpump Rules alum, 32.
“I was just informed by the Burbank District Attorney's Office that no charges will be filed against James Kennedy. “I would like to thank them for their thorough and professional review of the case involving my client, James Kennedy,” the statement said.
“Their careful investigation confirmed what we have maintained from the beginning: there were no grounds to file any charges against Mr. Kennedy. James is grateful to have this business behind him and looks forward to continuing to focus on his sobriety and his DJ career.”
Kennedy was arrested last month after Burbank police responded to a call about a “man and woman arguing” at his residence on Tuesday, December 11 around 11:30 p.m.
A witness claimed to have seen Kennedy and the woman arguing, and the reality star allegedly grabbed the woman at one point, TMZ previously reported. Officers said they saw no visible injuries on the woman.
At this time there is no confirmation that Kennedy's girlfriend, Ally Lewber, 28, was the reported victim. The arrest occurred after the couple attended Kathy Hilton's Christmas party together.

The Burbank Police Daily Arrest Log reported that an officer spoke with both Kennedy and the woman at a home that evening after receiving a 9-1-1 call, according to TMZ.
While there, the woman, whose name was not revealed, told investigators she was picked up by her boyfriend and he threw her to the ground.
Police on scene said they saw no visible injuries on the alleged victim, but arrested Kennedy for misdemeanor domestic violence against spouse/co-resident.
A source has now shared with Us Weekly that friends of the couple think they are “done” following the arrest.
An insider shared with the publication that Kennedy has “told friends they're just taking a break” and that he and Ally are “still talking.”
But “everyone around them thinks they're done and can't come back from this,” the source added.
Last month, an insider shared with DailyMail.com that Ally and James were “basically done” after the arrest.

A source revealed that the two years gave each other space and waited for “the dust to settle” for the sake of Kennedy's DJ career.
The source said the couple is “indeed on rocky ground” and a complete breakup is the most likely outcome.
The insider also claimed that Ally would even give Kennedy “one more chance” no matter how her friends and family want them to be over.
Lewber has since spoken out about Kennedy's arrest in a statement on her Instagram stories.
She wrote on December 14, “Thank you to everyone who reached out with love and support and for checking in with me.”

'I'm doing well and I'm now taking the time I need. I really appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”
Kennedy also broke his silence on the arrest, writing on Instagram: “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life.
“I'm taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth and being present for my loved ones.
“Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am committed to learning, growing and moving forward with the incredible support system around me.”
Lewber has been in a relationship with Kennedy since 2022
Kennedy was released after posting $20,000 bail, according to police records.
A source told People about Kennedy's alleged behavior at Hilton's party prior to the arrest: “James was acting super aggressive all night.”
“He was acting so erratically, running back and forth to the bar and checking on people along the way,” the source claimed. 'He seemed drunk. He spent most of the evening alone, but when he spoke to people he seemed irritated and rude.'
Lawyers for Kennedy previously told DailyMail.com: “We are conducting our own investigation into the allegations made against James by the Burbank Police Department.
“We understand that no injuries were reported and we hope that after careful investigation, the city's attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”
Kennedy has been dating Lewber since 2022, following the end of his engagement to Rachel Leviss.
