Over the years I have listened to many earplugs, and some of my favorites come from the UK Hi-Fi brand Cambridge Audio: I owned the very first company Melomania 1 Buds, who hit their modest price tag, and I owned (and really rated) theirs Melomania Touch Buds too. So I am pretty enthusiastic about the arrival of new Audio rates from Cambridge with even higher sonic specifications.
The new buttons are the Cambridge Audio Melomania A100, to effectively replace the already fantastic Melomania M100 Launched in May 2024 – and they have a new design, a completely redesigned accompanying app and some important audio -upgrades.

Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 Earbuds: important features and price
The Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 Buds have LDAC and APTX losing (from compatible phones) for high-quality audio streaming, and they have the same class AB reinforcement that you will find in the highly praised CX and former series amplifiers of the company. The AMPS-Drive-Precision-matched 10 mm Neodymium driver programs and promise “deeper bass, richer midtones and crystal hook highs”.
I am sure that they deliver exactly that: I love the Cambridge audiophelon, which tends to promote clarity over low-end Thuggishness and overly hard highlights, and these are tailored to deliver the same characteristic sound as the other models of the company.
These buttons also introduce something that Cambridge calls ‘Dynameq’ that is designed to subtly improve the audio while putting the volume up or down: different frequencies behave differently than volume changes change, so for example bass that is great at a high volume can be an overwhelming trees. Dynameq promises to adjust that for consistent sound on any volume without coloring the audio.
There is 11 hours of battery life of the buttons only (6.5 with ANC on and 28 more via the charging case), Hybrid ANC and an updated Melomania-Connect app that you can use to redesign the touch control and adjust the EQ. Bluetooth is 5.4 with Multipoint. There is also a six microphone array for clear speech and video bubbles.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 are available from today (Thursday 26 June) in the UK, Europe and Asia with a price tag of £ 119 / € 139 / $ 149.99 (approximately AU $ 248). Prices and availability of the US will be announced later this year.
