Reddit user Spygirl20 revealed that she conducted a hair growth experiment with positive results.

She explained it in a after that she used “different techniques” to help your locks grow naturally.

She said she measured my average hair growth for three months before starting the treatment so she could get an accurate measurement.

“On average, my hair grows 1.25 centimeters per month,” she admitted.

As part of the experiment, she began massaging her scalp every night.

“I used a silicone scalp massage brush, but I’m sure your fingers would work just as well,” she said.

It was so simple that she admitted she often did it while watching television for about five minutes each day because it was “really relaxing.”

She also used a hair growth oil three times a week and even used the brush on the days she didn’t oil her hair.

The Reddit user specifically used The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density, $15.

It’s a lightweight serum proven to provide “fuller, healthier-looking hair.”

The serum promotes hair growth, ensures a healthy scalp and reduces thinning areas on the scalp and hairline.

According to the product description, it has also made a big difference in people with androgenetic alopecia.

For the second half of the experiment, she also measured her hair, after massaging her hair and using The Ordinary serum for three months.

“He grew an inch in those months,” she said.

The Ordinary serum is suitable for different hair textures, including fine and thick 4C hair, curly and wavy hair and natural gray or white hair.

She joked that her “little experiment was flawed on many levels,” but that she enjoyed it at home.

Other Redditors tried the same technique.

“I noticed my hair sprouting from my head when I massaged my hair with oil, but I never put it into numbers. Thanks for doing your little experiment, which backs up my anecdotal data,” one person wrote.

“Now I have to get back into a daily massage routine!”

They also said that they felt it helped since they used a scalp scrub while washing with firm pressure.

Celebrity stylist Ryan Pearl told The US Sun about the benefits of scalp massage.

“Gently massage your scalp to prevent damage to the hair follicles,” advises Pearl.

But be aware that overdoing it can do more harm than good.
