Sunderland have made a declaration of intent for their first Premier League Season in eight years by signing a player for a club record costs.
The black cats will strengthen their midfield with a signing of £ 30 million from a player who has shown it Ligue 1 For Strasbourg.
He debuted for them in 2021 and continued with 92 league games for the French side.
But the player in question has now been set up for a large money movement to the Premier League prior to the 2025-26 campaign.
The midfielder has also made 11 performances at the international level for Senegal since he made his debut in 2024.
Now he gets the chance to impress a larger stage for his move to the Stadium of Light.

Regis Le Bris hopes to keep his way in the top flight after winning promotion

Habib Diarra scored for Senegal in their historic 3-1 win over England earlier this month
Habib Diarra will make the switch to Wearside in a transfer that was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
His move comes after Sunderland has protected promotion to the top flight thanks to one Dramatic play-off last win over Sheffield United in May.
The side of Regis Le Bris followed the majority of the game after the 25 -minute opener of Tyrese Campbell.
But Sunderland pulled level with 14 minutes to go thanks to the strike by Elieer Mayenda to drag them back to the game.
Their supporters were then sent to Dreamland when replacement Tom Watson scored in the 95th minute to seal the Ascension of his team to the Premier League.
Sunderland hopes that their latest campaign in the top flight is much more successful than the last time they were in the first division of English football.
The 2016-17 season was one to forget on the field, while they ended with only six victories with only six wins throughout the season.
That saw them rooted to the 20th position when they ended the 16 -point campaign – an achievement that they will hope that they will not emulate under Le Bris.
